Hi,
There are definitely some good books out there about Wicca. Some I can recommend to you are:

Wicca: The Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham (this is a good primer book for those new to Wicca)

The Spiral Dance by Starhawk (this book is not primarily Wicca but it is an excellent book and gives an overview of Witchcraft and Goddess-based religion)

The Craft by Dorothy Morrison (another good book for those new to Wicca)

By the way, most of these books can be found at Amazon or you might be able to order them through your local bookstore.

Another thing I'd suggest is talking to people who are already practicing Wiccans and ask them for guidance.
Best of luck to you!

Christian Wicca is a thriller to such a lot of. C.W. is an eclectic style of Christianity. Those who can't recollect every other teachings besides the Bible are very uncomfortable with this faith. Christian Wicca believes within the trinity of God the Father, God the Mother (Goddess), and the Son God Jesus. We additionally research and train the standards of the Bible, Kabbalah, Gnostic Gospels and Wiccan teachings. Possibly the main proposal of C.W. is their inclusion of the Divine Feminine. Basically, there can't be a beginning with no father AND a mom. We worship the Mother Goddess as having same vigour in construction. The Mother is gift in each and every element of Spiritual teachings, even the Bible. (Although you have got to seem tough to uncover it there.) Also, there's a change among being Christo-pagan and being Christian Wiccan. Before you cross at the air along with your document, seem up the 2 and remember of the predominant variations. I may not do it right here due to the fact it is going to easily get too prolonged. Just realize that they're distinct. I am regularly criticized by way of Christians and Wiccans alike. (More so Christians. Wiccans have a tendency to be extra open-minded.) I wish I have responded a few of your questions. Good good fortune along with your radio document....Blessings!

Witchvox.com is an excellent site with lots of resources. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BeginningWicca/ seems not only to be a good group for info but a very active one.

As far as books go there are a LOT of good books out there. My personal favorite, which is the one that got me started, is "Power of the Witch" by Laurie Cabot. Although anything by Anne Moura is also very good and Scott Cunningham is another fantastic author.

Wicca is more than a "religion" it is a spiritual path. It is about changing the self and growing as a person and a spiritual being. It is about self responsibility. Learning about such things as Chakra's, Healing, Spiritual Energy and more are also very important. I highly recommend the following books as well.

1. The Celestine Prophecy
2. Positive Energy by Judith Orloff
3. Chakra's for Beginners
4. The Way of the Peaceful Warrior

And any book that leaves you feeling spiritually uplifted and more in touch with the universe.

If you want to learn about solitary Wicca, nothing beats Scott Cunningham's A guide for the Solitary Practitioner and A further guide for the Solitary Practitioner. Marion Green's a Witch alone is also wonderful, and even though mine needs edited... I still think it is an amaqzing educaitonal tool...Shadows of a Witch for the Witch that Seeks Balance and Truth, by me, Shewolf Silver Shadows

Please feel free to email me if you have quesitons as well. I'll be more than glad to help if I can.

Most of these recommendations are really good. I don't recommend Ravenwolf, for the content problems already discussed, or Cabot or Starhawk for *Wicca* (Neither is Wiccan, and neither CLAIMS to be Wiccan, and if you read them looking for Wicca and are confused, that'd be why...lol.)
Cunningham and Buckland are excellent resources, and http://wicca.timerift.net is the best non-networking site out there.

Did you mean Wicca or Witchcraft?
They are not the same.

Aside from what you will get from New Agers, Wicca is an initiatory religious path that should be looked into AFTER one has spent some time investigating Paganism and Witchcraft.

Plenty.
Just use Google and type in Wicca . You'll find many sites that are clear and concise.
Also google wiccan and the name of your city. I'm sure you'll find a group or two that can help you out.
Oh and ignore those that tell you to stay away, they just don't get it.
Good luck to you.
