Here is the funny thing... I am purely atheist, and happy/proud of it. However, I still believe in the occult, spirits and such, you know?

My initial belief was that once you pass beyond this life, you are put in the ground, either as a corpse or as ashes, and you pretty much become fertiliser. End of story. I no longer think, therefor, I no longer am.

Upon seeing some different things throughout my life that I could not explain, mostly in old creepy buildings, I have begun to wonder if there really is some energy inside of us that does not fully dissipate upon death. I won't call it a soul, because that would mean I believed in heaven and god, which I most assuredly do not, however, if it IS some kind of energy, perhaps like an echo of your life, or a type of screen burn (You know, when you left those old CRT monitors on forever and could see your windows 95 screen after you turn it off?) Kind of like an after image.

I really don't know. I feel like if there are spirits, they wouldn't be able to think for themselves, they would merely be a shadow of their former selves. Bound to some place for unknown reasons? I don't believe in poltergeists, demons or demonic possessions, that sort of thing, but I've seen things I cannot explain and therefor have to say that with all certainty, I am absolutely uncertain what awaits us after we dream our last dream.

Recycled, there is nothing on the earth that wasn't already here.Everything is made up of particles, trees, cars, houses,TVs, water, oil, books every single thing the molecules required to make them already existed and when they crumble ,die disintegrate they will all return to the earth from where they came.

If you are not cremated, then you are worm-food.

This may frighten the begeesus out of some people, but some people are able to accept their natural fate, and other's fight to the death (no pun intended).
