Well everyone believe's something different.

Whatever they believe in, isn't wrong in their opinon.

You can mention certain things that you may disagree on, but you can't force someone to think like you do, and worship how you do.

I think it's disrespectful to try to convince anyone that deeply-felt beliefs are wrong. On the other hand, a lively debate in which each advocates for their own way of thinking and counters the arguments made by the other, done with good humor and kindness, is certainly acceptable.

I never really try to "convince" if someone obviously does nto want to be convinced. I comment on beliefs that I see as wrong, but I often do not try to get into long heated debates with them. To me that does not seem productive. I also don't think everyone's religious beliefs are wrong.

I never try to convince anyone their beliefs are incorrect, unfounded or wrong. If they believe is the most important peice. I wouldnt want them to convice me that my beliefs are wrong, according to them. What I would hope, though, is that my dedication and love of my catholic faith would show through clearly in word, action, and deed. Actions speak louder than words, or so I've been told.

there is not any longer something incorrect with that different than it desires dividing into paragraphs and it is probable too long besides. yet those are no longer grounds for reporting. Y!A has attracted people who will report Q & As for no reason, or because of the fact they disagree with the respond. Yahoo would not check out the report till you attraction, and in my adventure, each so often no longer even then. And via the way, save your Q& A secret in case you prefer to maintain your account, as some human beings will bypass via and report each thing you write. additionally, do no longer enable friends or followers till you recognize who they are.

Never.

I may challenge their beliefs, but it is not an attempt to prove them wrong; rather, I think it's important to understand one's own beliefs with a critical eye; to know WHY as well as WHAT one believes.

I'm a Pagan, and I've chosen this path after a great deal of study; it fits what I know.

My daughter is a Christian, and I've had talks with her about religion. I've explained some of the more obscure things of the Bible that she may not hear in church; not to dissuade her, but to help her understand that much of that book is not about the "all-loving" god that she hears about in church.

It's imporant to understand, but important to make choices. Religion is a choice, an it is a choice that needs to be made with a certain amount of understanding. I can't make another's choice for them, and it would be wrong to do so. There is no way to change another person's beliefs.

A saying says: "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink". Someone added "You can make them thirsty though."

In the end, I may pose questions, but the purpose is to increase understanding, not to force someone to change.

I only say something in response to someone telling me that I need to believe in THEIR religious beliefs, or are criticizing mine. I will not say anything in response to a simple conversation where they tell me about their beliefs.
