yes, but because of their "circle logic"; they will believe that they are righteous and everybody else are the criminals and sinners.

So what you are saying is that the 25% of prisoners in the US that are foreigners are "undocumented workers"? Is that correct? If that is true then why are they not simply deported back to their own country? Also does it follow that if a person reads the Bible they don't commit crimes? In that case all that is needed for the rehab of the 75% of prisoners that are US nationals is Bible Study then we will have no prisons or criminals. Problem solved! Amazing that no-one has thought of that before! You should run for president!

Well, (and I am going to catch 'hell' for this one), most illegals are Roman Catholic.
The history, official and admitted to by the Roman Catholic Church, is that it was forbidden, by the Church, itself, for anyone to read and even possess a copy of the Bible.
I am not going into the reasons, just the fact of history.
Today, although it is not forbidden, it is not encouraged, ESPECIALLY outside of the US (where Catholicism has to compete with evangelical Christianity that DOES encourage reading the Bible).
People who are ignorant, willfully or not, of a thing cannot hope to comply with a thing.

Beyond that, ALL have sinned, and there is not one human who is not a hypocrite (doing what one knows or belives is wrong)

As if the USA doesn't have enough problems with local gang crap, White Supremists, Black Power, then Castro sending all his freed prisoners to us, now we have the "undocumented immigrants".........pffffft!

I have nothing against Mexicans at all.................IF THEY'RE LEGAL. I don't understand why "American Mexicans" are sympathetic to illegals. Illegal is...well.....illegal, isn't it?

So......on the West coast we have all the illegal....I mean undocumented immigrants. On the East coast we have Eastern Indian terrorists, on the Southern Coast we have descendants of Castro's castaways and on the Northern border we have everyone else who can't get in any other way.

And in between all of this we have to deal with our own people doing "undocumented" crap, while STILL trying to keep track of all the prisoners that were let out of jail open doors on the Gulf after Hurricane Katrina, not to mention all the drugs coming in from every border.

Ahhh, Freedom, isn't it great?

I'm not sure what that has to do with illegals. I know that they don't mind breaking our laws by coming here illegally in the first place. Don't get me wrong, there's no lack of compassion on my part for them because, obviously, there suffering through something to make them want to come to the states but the problem is out of control.

I don't recall you specifying any particular nationality but it looks like most people assume that all illegals are Mexican. This is pretty ignorant, considering they come here illegally from all over the world. Maybe this is why we can't control the influx of illegals coming into the country, we can't seem to see the whole picture.

If your going to ask a question , use your brain and not some thing from the bible to try to justify how you feel . What every seems to forget is that unless your native American or someone belonging to an Indian blood line , all else are or were aliens . such as I'm sure your great or great great grandparents were at one time .

Americans have bad memories. Remember all those times we meddled in the affiars of Latin American countries? What about the fact that we took half of Mexico back in the 1830s and 1840s? Oh yeah, we are really a moral bunch.

"Covet" means "want or desire" - not take or steal. This commandment has been revised from it's original. Each re-write of the bible translates it differently.

Definitions of covet on the Web:

wish, long, or crave for (something, especially the property of another person); "She covets her sister's house"
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

A strong desire for something that does not belong to you.

"Do not steal" generally refers to steal possessions of another. Taking a country is call Manifest Destiny or invade and conquer....not stealing.

"Do not kill" is a good argument......18,000 people are killed in America - every year - by drunk drivers. Do you thing your priority on this one might be a little skewed?

And your "prison" statistic is WAAAYYY off; only 1/2 of 1% prisoners in our country are foreigners. Unlike your prattle, I have provided a source for this statistic below.

As for out-of-wedlock births, they don't have the market cornered by a longshot. Here's some stats for you:

Unmarried Childbearing

(Data are for U.S. for year indicated)

Number of live births to unmarried women: 1.5 million

Birth rate for unmarried women:
Percent of all births to unmarried women: 36%

I live in California, and there are a lot of Hispanic people here, legal, or not. I absolutely love the little old hispanic ladies. They are so Catholic. The have Rosery Beads hanging from the Rear View Mirror, and have a Bible in their purses. They are a very religious people. Their Bibles are on Spanish.
