No it is like, if someone you don't know, ( and who is not in any way related to you) did something wrong 5000 years ago - you'll have to pay for it!

Actually, it was not a punishment. It was the consequences. People fell out of perfection because they chose to disobey the one rule that was laid down: don't eat of this tree. Just one rule, pretty simple. Yet they both chose to disobey.

The consequence was that they were thrown out of the garden. They could no longer be in the presence of God. All the world changed as a result, and pain came into being, and toil came into being, and friction between husband and wife came into being. Not as punishment but as a result of disobeying. The world changed.

Because it's just a fictional tale to scare people into behaving. "Ooh, look what happened to Adam and Eve when they disobeyed. I'm going to stay in line now!"

Doesn't make much sense to punish all of mankind if God is as forgiving as people say, and wants to give everyone a fair chance.

Eve was deceived at first. Adam was punished though because God put him in charge over Eve to protect her and keep her safe from satan. He did not do his job. God had given the universe to Adam, who was perfect. When Adam sinned he gave it to satan, who is cruel and has ruined the earth. God protected Adam by sending him out of the garden, because if he were to eat the fruit from the tree of life, he would have lived (along with us) forever in sin. Jesus came to break that curse so we can live without sin forever.

GOD didn't Punish Adam and Eve.

They did it to Themselves AND Us.
They (Actually just Adam, not Eve)---Adam, caused the Earth to Operate in Fear (a spiritual force) which brought the Curse.
Eve helped. But Adam was main Cause.

Then, Adam opened the Door for satan to gain Authority in this Creation, bringing more Curses.
Alot more, too!!
Ditto.

GOD is Actually 100% INNOCENT in all of this Evil and Wicked stuff that happens down here (sickness, disease, accidents, poverty etc.)

You see, When Adam Committed HIGH TREASON (ate from the Tree) Adam Disconnected the Human Race from GOD Almighty, and Changed gods (hooked up to) to satan.
satan is Lost Spiritually---we are Born Lost Spiritually on this Earth.

GOD was also Kicked outta' this Creation by Adam.
GOD has to get us to Pray, which gives HIM Authority in this Earth to do GOOD until the Contract with Mankind is up---and it's almost up!!
It was only made for 6000 years.
Ditto.....

No, you DON'T "get it" -- and don't feel badly, as about 99.99% of "believers" don't "get it" either.

The story of the garden of eden (which is based in fact) is NOT about doing anything "bad" nor of being punished, etc., etc.

It is simply about the ascent of the human consciousness to from a "animal-like" state of consciousness to a human one of being "self-aware" or "self-concious".

It was simply a story about our next step in our (spiritual) evolution that had to take place in order for us to discern and distinguish "right from wrong" -- or to become as the God(S) to know good from evil. Notice -- not Good AND Evil -- but Good FROM Evil.

The "punishment" that you and many others interpret from this story is simply the legacy which you inherit as a result of embracing this advance in consciousness -- as you do, in fact, have that same consciousness and are therefore subject to the same consequences of it -- i.e., you are "aware" of and/or are conscious of such things as "being naked" or having disobeyed something outside of yourself that you place in a position of authority.

Ancient Wisdom not only teaches this, but also teaches that there have been MANY "adams" in the history of our human evolution (both spiritual and physical).

Another good hint is the literal (and purposeful?)misinterpretation of the word "sin" which when take from the Greek word "HAMANTANO" in the NT means nothing more that "to miss the mark" -- or to "error" or be out of harmony -- and has NOTHING to do with "guilt" which is associated with the word "sin" today.

Regards,

this idea about adam and eve and original sin is so absurd...i think it is impossible that anyone could build up a religion based on that...but with christians everything is possible, i only think that whoever wrote that part must have done a bit more effort to come with something less absurd...

I never understood how they were "bad" for being misled. Like a small child can be misled. And the punishment didn't really fit the crime, did it? Death for eating a fruit? Pain, childbirth... all for being misled and wanting to be like the God they loved... made no sense to me and never will.

It was the test that God chose to do. We have no say in it. We don't know why God did it that way, but we are trusting Him for He has His reasons, whether it makes sense or not.

The sinful corruption that permeates our world and our lives is the direct result of Adam's decision to disobey God. Eve faced temptation and her fall illustrates the ease with which all persons fall into sin.

God said.

no

Actually it was Eve who was deceived.

Adam just went along with it so he would not lose her forever.
