a soft answer turneth away wrath but grievous words stir up anger.
No matter what someone says or do to you, if you respond to it calmly, then you can break or reduce the tension that has built up within you both.

Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions
I like this verse because about 2 or 3 years ago I had a dream about a room and some people that were in it. A few weeks ago I lived that dream. It was really amazing, and that has been my favorite verse ever since I lived that dream.

Rom. 8: 28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Because it reminds me that no matter what, there is always something to learn and that if I allow God to teach me, I will be a better person for it.
Moses 1:39
39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
Reminds me that I am important to my Heavenly Father.
Matt. 16: 27
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Reminds me to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
Couldn't pick just one...sorry. I have many many more. My scriptures are a rainbow at the moment...and getting more so every year.

John 9: 3 - 5 NIV
Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
3"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
I love these verses. Because it shows the Glory, grace and love of God.

"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body" ( 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 ). Why? Because when you have the presence of the Lord, there is absolutely no affliction, sorrow, or any trouble that this world can hurl at me that will defeat me EVER!

Psalm 46:10: " Be still and know that I am God...."
This verse gives me comfort that no matter what frightening things happen in the world, God is still there for me to take refuge.

John 14:27
... Peace I give to you...
Who wouldn't love that one. When I get stressed out or frustrated with people I just think of Jesus telling us that He has given us His peace and that He doesn't give as the world does. The enemy hates that verse.

I don't know if I can just choose a single favorite. It's tough. But I guess I can go with:
Revelation 3:20-21 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."
That fills my heart with such immense hope. God bless.
Truly yours,
Arthur :o)
