I think most of us can say we were taken totally by suprise and had no idea that something like 9/11 could happen to us here in the USA.
As horriifc event that was the return of Jesus will be a thousand times more suprising to people who don't expect him to return

So my question is: Do you find yourself wondering how shocked you will be when Jesus returns, just like 9/11 was a total shock

I will be suprised not shocked and ready
How about you?

9/11 taught us a lesson, To pay attention to what the Spirit has to say.

I realize that the Rapture can happen pretty soon because the Word of God is being preached & published in all the lands, almost. If one doesn't have oil full in their lamp, they won't be ready for Jesus in the rapture. They will miss it. There will be Christians (low on the oil) & people in the pre salvation state who will turn to Christ after the rapture. But they will be martyred before the wrath of God gets poured on all who destroy Gods creation, Gods people & prophets. These Christians also are part of the 1st Resurrection that happens before the Millinnium Reign of Christ.

I pray to God first thing in the morning & continue to follow after the Spirit throughout the day. That is because I don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I want to also be ready when Jesus comes back. So, to have oil in ones lamp is also being in the corporate anointing God gives the Churches. But this is also praying in the Spirit at home building up ones most holy faith.

But 9/11 wasn't a total shock to me. As I sensed that something bad was going to happen. There was much trouble in my life at that time, with my child running away, & I was afraid someone was going to hurt our horse. So, my childs horse was being loaded up to leave on 9/11.

Completely not the same.

Jesus will not come back in an airplane and fly it into a heavily populated skyscraper. Jesus will not commit mass terrorism.

Are you are looking for a violent second coming because you can't wait to watch people in shock and horror? Will this kind of mass extinction be worth it only to prove "you are right"?

We had that several times already. The Crusades, the Inquisition, the Holocaust, the jihad, 9/11. All were cast about only....only to prove "they were right".

I'm don't mean to shame you, but you need to look inside and realize this need to see others suffer to prove you own validity is nothing new and in most cases has nothing to do with Jesus.

The first images I saw were of the planes and then the collapses.
The first thought was that the buildings went down just like in a controlled explosives demolition.
The next thought was that the people piloting those plane had to be very well trained indeed. It is very hard to fly into a target like that. If you look at airports they use a very high degree of tech in lighting, locators and beacons to get the plane into position to start its approach. The pilots of 9-11 had none of those assets.

Since if he did return, he would be helping the poor, feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless and curing the ill instead of condemning gays and those who have other faiths , I do not think many of his so called followers would believe it is him. They would probably label him as a heretic.
Yes, I was shocked by 9-11. Was I shocked that someone would use that lead in to ask a question about the return of Jesus- not really (sigh). You might want to think twice about comparing the return of your Messiah to a terrorist attack. That's not a great way to gain converts.

Not again.

9/11 was real. Jesus is not. Thats the difference. It was only a matter of time before 9/11 happened because much of the world is very angry with the US for many reasons.

Jesus is a fairy tale.

Now please, stop being so ridiculous. And don't be so bloody rude as to use 9/11 to try to further your religion. Its like using Katrina and saying "New Orleans deserved it because its Sin City". Its incredibly RUDE and unbelievably WRONG to do that.

let me add that you should have your butt royally kicked for doing that.

Shocked, yes. Really surprised, no. The threat was there and I had said several times it was a matter of time.

It is a matter of time till we lose a whole city too, since we won't really go after the whole area hard. I am much more concerned about that, than a dead guy coming back.

I think what'll be amusing is to see all the christians go "WTF?!" when the messiah comes and its *not* jesus. and that the messiah is what the church lied to them and said would be the antichrist, and then right here in front of them its obviously "the one".

or even better would be if the Messiah DID look like jesus and is what many would try to identify as the antichrist.

did you know theres no concept of an antichrist in the old testament?

I'm Jewish and Judaism has been waiting for the messiah for over 3000 years, (and it was not jesus, the fact that we are discussing this, proves that the messiah of Judaism has not yet arrived)

No, atheists have been warning people for decades that religion spawns this kind of violence. The mystery is why anyone with an IQ higher than a carrot would be shocked by this event. Religion breeds violence.

Jesus said he'd call me in advance, so I can buy enough weed and booze for him and his homies as well.

As to 9/11... ok, I'll not make a joke about that. You know why not? Because that was real!
