Don't believe in creation, but the sky and the planet were here long before humans were and will still be here long after humans are extinct, so you're kind of 50-50 there.

Stars cannot dream, or think, or act on their own. People can do so independently and so a sentient being is a beautiful thing, far more beautiful than the constellations of the sky and more majestic than the dance that they do.
The human mind is capable of great acts of creation and expression in the form of art, poetry, and acts of compassion. Great poets such as Maya Angelou, can move even the coldest heart, and the splendid and simple beauty of the Mona Lisa, and the great compassion of the American people after the Tsunami.
Humans are also capable of horrible acts of violence and ruthlessness such as the holocaust and the Soviet Purges, and more recently the War in Iraq and the attacks on the World Trade Center.

No, the creation of the heavens and earth are not greater than the creation of humanity, not according to God anyway.
God loves us so much that He sent His own Son to die for us. The heavens and the earth were created for us to inhabit and enjoy, they were never meant to be worshiped either, some worship the created rather than the Creator of all.

Absolutely not. "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" Matthew 6:26.
Of course we are better than they. We are the spirit children of Heavenly Father. "...For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device." Acts 17:28-29.
All men and women are the literal, spiritual offspring of a Heavenly Father. When they are born into mortality, they receive physical, mortal bodies. These bodies were created in God’s image (Gen. 1: 26-27). Men and women who are faithful in receiving the necessary ordinances, keeping their covenants, and obeying God’s commands will enter into their exaltation and become as God. "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he [Christ] shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." 1 John 3:2-3.
Finally, "What is man, that thou [God] art mindful of him? and the son of man [meaning mankind], that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour." Psalms 8:4-5.
