I went to my aunt's house yesterday, and she's pet sitting this dog, but none of us know what kind of dog it is...

Also, I don't know if its just a puppy's natural behavior, but he's very energetic, he's a nibbler, if you try and pick him up from the scruff he'll yelp, and he has a yipping bark.

We only tried to pick him up by the scruff once... and here are some more pictures, if that helps...

that is exactly what my doggie looked like as a puppy-- she is a pit/lab--- and will be an amazing dog if you train her well-- good luck!

Looks like a black lab/something mix. Puppies are naturally very energetic, and the nibbling could just be a bad habit. If he yelps when you pick him up from the scruff, don't do it.

1) I'd say lab/pit mix
2) He's normal. Puppies are very energetic when they are healthy.
3) He is WAY too old to be picked up by the scruff. DON'T do it. It HURTS him!

I think it may be a Boxer/ Lab mix. The color is that of a black lab and the Facial characteristics are of a Boxer. If anything, I would ask the owner of the dog when he/she picks it up.

Looks like a dachshund mix. Not sure what it is mixed with. It looks like its hair is kind of long. Sounds like a normal hyper puppy! Much too short to be a lab..

Looks like part weiner dog, dachshund probably be a small dog, has small feet. Being a puppy, he will be very energetic, but please, please, do not pick him up by the scruff of the neck, it hurts! May have some chihuahua too,.. Really cute dog! Tell them to take good care of it.

I see Beagle, maybe a little Pug , Boston terrier,Boxer,or some other pug - nosed breed, and perhaps some Lab.He's really cute, though, and it is normal for pups to be energetic and nibble!

Black lab and yes they're very energetic as adults as well as puppies. When you nips you grab ahold of his mouth and hold it closed until he stops struggling then let him go and walk away. Eventually he'll learn to stop nibbling.
