I'm sure a higher life form could have created us. But would you want to take credit for creating humanity as it stands at the moment? With people even prepared to take human life via abortion, before the life even beomes poluted by this world. Their lives laid down like soldiers, except they have no choice. New life always wants to live, not like us who may commit suicide- once we realise what kind of a world we are living in. I'm sure our minds have to evolve further before any such being would be prepared to take credit for creating us.
We have to have come from somewhere, even if only starting off as a single cell. It's perfectly possible we were created by higher inteligence. Maybe we were a pet project long since forgotten. Who knows for sure! But that's the point, we don't. All we know is we have now & our children may have the future. If it takes religion to stop people killing, I'm all for it. But it doesn't, even this people will kill for. They have totally missed the point. If it was invented, it was only invented to try to stop us indulging our- lust, greed etc which we all have & which can lead to bad things like- murder. Which we surely can agree is wrong. If not, I wish I could just abandon the lot of you!

Well, there's not proof to back him either. Again, religiosity is a simple matter of faith. And, there's generally the two extremes- You are willing to have faith that he is up there, or you doubt he's there because all you have to go on is the faith. I'm in category 2.

There are no doubts in my mind. All "gods" are in the same league as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, ghosts, wood sprites, and all other supernaturals.

I have so much doubt in God I've spent hours wasting my time on this site explaining it.

As long as you are reasonably intelligent, you should have some doubt. Otherwise you are just in the "drink the kool-aid" crowd.

There is surely NO doubt that if He is there, He cares little for babies with leukemia. He just lets them die.
