I recv'd a file on my hotmail, that I've opened without any problem on another computer. I cannot open it on my computer at home. I have Windows XP, internet explorer 6.

Try downloading IE7.

Also, if you are opening in Yahoo Mail, check your mail options. See if you have your mail set to allow or disallow HTML images.

I have mine set to disallow. If I get e-mail I trust and want to open the image file, I click the link at the bottom of the screen which allows that e-mail, only, to open. I feel it's safer this way.

Don't bother with Adobe Acrobat - it's too bloated.

Instead, search for "Foxit" or "Foxit PDF Reader" and download Foxit Reader.
