I recycle for money. If someone else wants to go through my recycling bin for cash, it's fine with me.

For the environment. In college we used to do it for money, but I haven't done it for money since then. In fact where I live now it's not even an option, everyone is expected to recycle and there are abundant recycling bins so there is really no excuse not to.

Both. It's so silly to waste all that good materials that could be recycled by just letting it all rot in the dump. I say put it all to good use and stop tearing up the earth for more ore just to satisfy our need to consume. Recycle, recycle, recycle today, instead of just throwing away. Recycling prevents the mining companies from chopping down the rain forest, strip mining the mountain behind you, and polluting the water and air when they are refining and manufacturing the products.
It's nice to get paid for my efforts to if not save the planet, at least save my neighborhood.

Neither.... many things that are recycled cause more harm to the enviornment in the recycle process than they would by just putting them in the land fill...

environment, i don't think we get paid to recycle our newspapers and plastic stuff. that'd be neat though!!
