Well, when government and science stop doing it, I'm still not sure I'm going to put all of my faith into some almighty one who happened to have a book written about him. Just because the answers haven't been found doesn't mean the answer is "God."
PS- The star: there has been scientific research indicating there was a super nova during that time period, here's one of many links: http://astronomyspace.suite101.com/article.cfm/the_science_of_the_christmas_star
Global warming: If one looks at the geological cycles, global warming is a never ending cycle, where the temperature will rise over many years (and it has been rising for a very long time), and then it will cool way back down, then it will start back up. Perhaps, we may be accelerating ti a little, but it is something that has always been happening. That's very generous of god, though, to be giving us that specific sign for millions of years.

How wise were the Wisemen? They were Zoroastrian priests who worshipped Ahura Mazda (a false god, according to Christianity). There's nothing to state they knew the Messiah had entered the world, that's hearsay.
Global Warming is not a "sign" from God. This is another pipe-dream of Christians. It's caused by greenhouse gases, it's been proven (this is the reason Venus is as hot as it is, though it's not man-caused).
I certainly gain a lot more information from science than I have from a 2000 year old book. For morals, Jesus was a great teacher. A science book, the Bible ain't.
If you want God to take care of it, go ahead. We'll all sit back, suffer and die from all of this, and God will not be interfering in our own hell.

People have been reading divine intervention into climactic changes for millions of years. Nothing new there. The difference here is science has already explained what is causing global warming. It's us. We can stop it, and I believe we will.
So far, science has answered all of the important questions. I expect they will continue to do so, and will keep looking for more answers, instead of fostering ignorance and stopping at "God did it." The other "life questions" are usually philosophical in nature, are entirely subjective and therefore reflect personal realities. That's stuff that is between you and your gods. Just don't be so quick to dismiss science. You live a longer, healthier life because of science, and will have many years to worship your chosen deities. Enjoy.

Uh, government has never had the answers, and yes you are a nut. I'm pretty intuitive, but mine just tells me you are crazy.
Understanding is only looking at the sky, reading a book, and thinking a star, probably a planet, means something other then that "star" exists...? Riiiggghhhttt... I could have sworn this world and universe was based on more realistic things.
Oh and... if beings on another planet could look up and see our planet glowing off in the distance, and believed it was connected to their deity thing, if they had one, would that make it true? No, sorry, of course not.

religion doesnt answer lifes questions either. religious people are just easily satisfied with the idea that everything that is difficult to explain is god doing. well some of us just cant accept that an invisible man in the sky is responsible for everything on this planet. just because science cant explain something doesnt mean a god exists. and I'm not saying god doesnt exist either. I really dont know if he does or doesnt. if there never came to a point when science couldnt explain something would you stop your belief in god? not likely so why would people start believing just because something couldnt be explained?

I have little faith in the government's abilities at the moment, but as for science; well, it bothers me that so many have placed a divider between a creation of God and God. I see science as a logical way to study God's work in 4-D. I believe that the path that science is on actually will lead us closer to God, not farther away. I agree that global warming is likely a sign, but as caretakers of the earth we ought to feel shame as to the condition it is in. I will be grateful for the rescue, but I can remember the look my dad would give me when I broke something, I can only imagine....

Define unbeliever, first of all. However, science doesn't claim to know all, buts its a never ending question to at least try. Perhaps it won't even be able to answer all of life's questions, but at least it won't pretend it can. I won't use the god of the gaps theory. That is, I won't fill in god when science can't explain something. Just because it can't be explained now doesn't mean it will never be explained.

i do no longer think of a few human beings can take a distinctive opinion. i attempt to respond to a question each so often via somebody I easily have in no way replied earlier or maybe had any touch with and discover i'm blocked. some human beings block every person they do in comparison to their solutions. Who says we need an answer for everything; I'm quite comfortable with the unknown so I don't need every little thing answered for me. Just because science nor the government can provide a basis for answers doesn't mean I'm going to run to some deity I don't believe in.
