As a gay man, whether or not I marry my partner has no bearing whatsoever on the heterosexuals who are married next door. All the problems with marriage, and there are many, have been caused by heterosexuals. We gay Americans have had nothing to do with the rampant divorce rate, adultery, spousal abuse, child abuse, financial problems, inequalities, etc. which are found in unsuccessful heterosexual marriages. Those problems can only be fixed by the two people in the marriage.
As far as fighting tooth and nail just to show our love and commmitment for one another, that is exactly what marriage is about. However, I'd expect that gay people will do no better or worse than our heterosexual brothers and sisters have done once we are allowed to marry. The same issues which plague heterosexual marriage will also one day plague ours and that is why we should look for ways to STRENGTHEN the institution of marriage not ways to exclude others from it.

you'd think so, but there are these hypocristians who choose to spread hatred instead of embrace love - in whatever form. I personally agree that gay marriage should be allowed and would most definitely strengthen the institution of marriage. ONE LOVE. I think it is a shame that people have to fight so hard just to show genuine love.

I don't know. I kinda think that Christians would see gay marriage as 'strengthening' marriage in the same way that we would see incorporating creationism as 'bolstering' science. Quantity doesn't always trump quality.
Personally, I think that providing gay couples with eligibility for the same benefits that straight couples get from marriage would be a great step for our country. I just don't think this argument would fly with anyone who didn't share this opinion.

Otherwise, people must assume marriage is strengthened by episodes like Britney's Vegas experiment - over in 24 hours. But totally heterosexual, so that's all right then.

I found an icon that once said marriage is not about race, religion, disability, age, or color. Marriage is about love. I liked that, and I still do. I think that it is a very true statement. I think we need to back off the gays and focus more on the message of marriage : Love.

It does not undermine anyones family individuals. Its no ones company however the human beings getting married. there are various stuff that we ought to rigidity in approximately interior the rustic to boot gay human beings getting married. How concerning to the academic courses is one such difficulty that must be fastened so we are in a position to concentration on growing to be new technologies so we are in a position to prevail interior the destiny as a exchange of annoying approximately human beings's very own lives. human beings tend to be petrified of what they don't comprehend and doubtless if human beings have been greater helpful knowledgeable they might comprehend to handle human beings how they might choose to be dealt with. If somebody is gay greater capability to them...and if their relationship can artwork it somewhat is greater helpful than a number of the marriages between a guy and girls human beings. 50% p.c. divorce fee in this us of a? i think of that maintains to be what it somewhat is..as far as a results of fact the Christians pass there are (some) no longer all that questioning getting married immediately is the ingredient to do(greater often than not to have intercourse) then come to attain its no longer what they theory it exchange into and finally end up getting divorced as a results of fact their marriage exchange into consistent with intercourse. So particularly than having intercourse in the previous marriage and understanding the guy is a douche and getting out of the relationship choose waiting is the greater helpful selection and waste their lives, their toddler's lives, and hundreds of greenbacks for legal specialists questioning concerning to the wait til "marriage ingredient" So no person is suitable and to date as faith is going i think of everybody ought to easily no longer pontificate or choose on the grounds it somewhat is finally God's pastime.

i don't think that is their motive. if u feel that way about ur significant other, u shouldn't need a piece of paper to prove it. to get married u either have to do it in a church (which believes it's wrong) or do it in front of a judge ( who makes people swear on the bible b4 giving a testimony) so idk, there is where the religion points come in, but in all reality, u shouldn't need anyone else to recognize ur love except for u and ur partner.
