I had ear surgery almost two months ago and the scar is behind my ear close to my hairline. I'm sure the chemicals will get on the scar so that is why I am asking. Or if there is a way to do it or have it done that it won't get on the scar.

You can still relax your hair, I would say go to the pharmacy and get a Tagaderm patch. It's like a clear bandaid that is waterproof and extremely sticky. It's meant to stand up to alot of water. Most people use it on fresh scars to keep germs out. Apply it directly on the scar but be careful not to get any hair caught under it (besides whats already there).

I have gotten my hair relaxed many times. I would wait awhile unless u seriously need it. Im sure ur hair dresser could find a way to not get in on ur scar if u do need it though. ***Let me tell u something. I got my hair relaxed and i loved it...i kept doin it and sooner or later my hair started breaking!!....I went to a new hair dresser and he said that the lady was doin it wrong. The product they were using on me was meant to take out perms...but it is a realxer. Make sure they do it right!!**
