There's an old man named Chet Yorton whose in his 70's now, and he works out, he has an unbelivevable body for HIS age or ANY age rather. Now, he can do this (Working out until the day that the lord calls him to ride off in that chariot in the sky). Here's my question, Can you stay like this forever or will eventually even he will have to accept old age and have his body break down and start looking old eventually? If so, how will he die of natural causes if he's healthy?

Fools cling to this life. But Jesus tells us, “

"I am the resurrection and the life: he who believes in me, even if he dies, shall go on living and whoever lives, believing in me, shall never die." (JN11:25.26)

"If anyone wants to come after me, he must put aside all his selfish desires, take up his cross and follow me. Whoever saves his life shall surely lose it, but whoever gives up his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel shall find it again. For what good is it for a man to gain the whole world if, in exchange, he loses his eternal soul?" (MK 8:34.36)

Instead of foolishly trying to prolong or save your life, we should better spend our time learning more about the Afterlife.

There is new research indicating that genetics seem to determine how old we will become. With each cycle of replication ( genes doubling and splitting to go into new cells) the ends (telomeres) shorten. It is this shortening that may hold the clues to aging. But even if we figure this out, random events can always occur. Chet may be running down the road and have a stray bullet fall from the sky or a cell phone driver drift over and run him down. When our number is called, we go.

A healthy person doesn't die. No one dies a natural healthy death. Eventually he will deteriorate no matter how much he keeps fit. However he will probably last longer than most people buy keeping fit. There has never been a person in recorded history who has lived over 120. People are living longer now than they have ever lived before.

If the Lord doesn't take him in the air in the Rapture, Chet will eventually succumb to the ravages of old age, either mentally or physically.

Everyone's bodies break down, sooner or later. There was a a man who had started a diet a few years ago, he was a hardcore vegetarian, got his exercise, was considered by everyone around him to be extremely healthy... until he came down with terminal cancer. I wish I could remember the man's name though!

We all break down eventually. We can slow it down thru healthy choices, but in the end, nothing lasts forever.
