Sounds like your wanting to create a spreadsheet. To do that open Works and in the task launcher, go to task wizzard. under 'common tasks' select 'start from scratch' . select 'yes' run the task wizzard and select spreadsheet. select 'next'. then 'create it' then 'create document'. To make borders like in a spread sheet, high light the area you wish to create the border, then click on 'format' on the toolbar. select 'border' and scroll to what size/type of border you want.

Hope this gets' you started! ...Using Works for data sheets is a bit more labor intensive than Excel, but it creates the same looking document.
