I see so many people say, "Why are you Atheists here on the religious forum?" I like the diversity of people on R & S. It's good that we don't all agree because we learn a lot from each other. I learned yesterday that Muslims celebrate the 4th of July. Didn't know that. The bickering doesn't bother me. We attack them as much as they attack us. It's just how the site works. What does everyone else think?

Yes, Omar, you're right about 4th of July not being a religious holiday but because their religion is so strict I wasn't sure it they were allowed to celebrate it.

Christians
Muslims

Hindus/Buddhists
Taoists
ect.

I'm not Christian (or Atheist) but it probably would be boring if any group was left out. The Atheist-Christian battles can sometimes be amusing also =P.
By the way, July 4th is not a religious holiday, it is a cultural one, so anyone can feel free to celebrate it, including Muslims, Atheists, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Pagans, etc. :)

Because I am an irreverent agnostic, I only frequent R&S to read the answers posted by the nontheists and those with other nonpious views. I could not enjoy reading just the responses by devoted and inflexilble theists expressing fundamental, literal, humorless, and occasionally ignorant interpretations of dogma.

I get a kick out of all the atheists here. They're witty, well-educated, and are a lot of fun to banter back and forth with. They also tend to be quite a bit more open-minded and tolerant than people give them credit for.

I think atheists are capable of knowing just as much about, say, Christian theology as a Christian. Since they have something of pertinent value to contribute, I say they belong here just as much as anyone else who can provide accurate answers.

I don't want to live a stagnate life. I want to learn and grow. Diversity is one of the greatest assets we humans have. Shame we don't always appreciate it.

If everyone was righteous, there would be no one to get saved.
They also bring challenging questions and also engage us to show our true colors.
