It really depends on the personality of the kitten. I have found that a lot of animals tend to take on the personality of the name. IE - We had a cat named Mouse and he was every timid. You can also look at the markings of the cat. Boots for a cat that looks like he/she has boots on. Good luck and enjoy your new baby!

Need more info to give you the best answer, i.e. sex, breed, short/long hair, coloring/markings, personality....

For your answer to picking the perfect name see below:

Spend some time with your kitty to get an idea of its personality.
A good place to start in choosing a name is the sex of the cat. Right there should give you some direction.

Markings or other things about appearance might give more common names (fluffy, spot, sooty...you get the picture).

Keep in mind when picking a name what you're willing to call out loud around the house/neighborhood if kitty decides to hide and you have to call "here _______".
Not easy to say or embarrassing? Then skip it.

If you'd like for something more unique a character in your favorite book, movie, or even mythology.

The database link will also give plenty of help with everything imaginable and guide you thru with meanings.

How about Earnest? I love the play "the importance of being Earnest", by Oscar Wilde. My cat's name is Oliver, from Oliver Twist.

KUBA (sounds like Cougar - mountain lion)

My friends cat is named that, and she's so sweet. It's quite an original name I think.

Or how about KITTY?
