If you guys have enough in common and like eachother, by all means, date! It really isn't a big deal, the age difference. My friend is 18 and her boyfriend is 22. My last relationship was with a guy who is 21; I am 18 as well. Hope that makes you feel better. Don't worry about it.

Age difference is really a personal thing, 18 & 23 is not a age gap by any means, some people worry to much about the age gap and should be more worried about the kind of person their marrying, like will he treat her good,or will he cheat on her,I think its more worries for the ladies in the long run!!

If you had asked me that when I was 18 I would have said no. Looking at it from the age of 29, I would have to say yes. While I do believe one can be very mature for 18 I believe they still have a lot of growing and learning left. I'm not 100% against the age gap, however were it a child of mine, I would look at it very close, VERY close and would be skeptical as well as cautious about the 23 year old expressing interest.

I don't think so. If it's really important to the 23 year old to be able to go out to restaurants/bars/clubs and drink, then dating an 18 year old may be a problem for that person. However, if you both connect and have similar attitudes about where you'd like to go in a relationship, then who cares?
My parents have been married for almost 30 years and they have an 18 year age difference, so I may be slightly biased. :) I am 24 and my girlfriend is 21.

Probably, but not necessarily. It is illegal for a 23 year old to have sex with an 18 year old in some states. There are some states where the age of consent is 19!

Well pending. If your 18 and she's 23 yes. but if she's 18 and your 23 no. Woman who are older just doesn't fit it's just the way things are. My husband is 5 years older than me we forget about the age difference. We have been together for 17 years.

Not at all, if the two are of compatible emotional ages.
(By the way, there are NO states in the U.S. where the age of consent is 19! I checked. Most states are 18, with quite a few being 16 and 17, and one has 15 as the age of consent for sexual contact.)

Depends on the individuals. There can be a big difference in life experience at that age, so most of the time, YES, it's too big of a gap.

Since you're both adults, there is no such thing as too big of an age gap. Society might TRY to tell you what's right and wrong, but if the law says its okay, that's all that matters.
