Aww sweetie, so sorry to hear that.. It's hard to get to grips with losing someone that was in your life always. But trust me, over time the sadness will get less and your memories about him will make you feel warm inside. Those can never be taken away from you, you know? Maybe, after a good while, a new cat will cross your path. It can never replace the other, but you will value his friendship just as much.. cats are so special.. it's a shame they can't outlive us.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is a very sad thing. I went through that 5 years ago a few months before my wedding. My beloved cat, Tigger, died. He had to be put down. Kidney problems, etc. I cried loudly at the vet that night. I didn't care what people thought of me. To this day I still think about him a lot and sometimes cry.
You'll never forget him. He was your buddy and try to remember him as that. As silly as this may sound, it might help: write him a letter. As long as you want. Get all your feelings out in it. You might actually feel somewhat better. I know it's different but it might just work.
Good luck & I'm sorry once again.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Getting over the loss of a pet is never easy. They are often considered a part of the family. I've lost several beloved pets. I have a 15 1/2 year old cat now. He's my baby. In the past, when I lost a pet, I'd sit down & write a poem about him or her. Sometimes just writing down your feelings for the animal will help you. Crying is natural, so don't feel bad about that. It will eventually get easier for you. Looking at pictures of your cat may also help you with your sorrow. My cat Iris died in my arms. She had feline leukemia. It was hard, but I eventually stopped crying. Just remember the good times & you'll be OK. I hope this helps you.

Somethimes, its hard getting over a loss of a pet. Especially one that u have had for so long. I would say for u to get a new pet. But judging on the way that u sound . . . the way that he died . . its probably not the best for u right now. Try to make a memory box for him. Put like his favorate toys, any pics of him,his extra food, his bed etc all in a little box. Decorated it and set it somewhere special in ur room. That way, u don't see the stuff around all day and start crying at every min. When ever u miss him, check ur memory box and u can cry for a moment. U must be facing some hard times. After some time, when u feel u r redy for another pet, get it but visit ur box frequently so u dont forget him.
So Sorry for ur loss
hope u recover soon
Good luck

Hi, I came across your question as i was trying to find my own answers. My beloved cat, Spike, is going tomorrow. he's 16 years old and has been sick for at least several weeks. The vet suggested he be put to sleep, but my partner couldn't be there and he wanted to see Spike one last time. Well, yesterday was a holiday and neither one of us could do it today, so we've got an appointment tomorrow at 4. I'm so distraught right now I can hardly go five minutes without crying, especially when he's being his ever-lovable presence and he has no idea. Just knowing that today is his last day makes it even harder. It's so hard! I'm really sorry for your loss, as I can truly understand what you're going through right now. Just know that your cat is in a good place, remember the times you had with him/her, and let it help you that you're not alone. Good luck!

Ringworm is an totally contagious ailment that may be unfold from people to cats or cats to people. It isn't a malicious program however a fungus. What you describe definite seems like that is the predicament. The vet must have dominated that out on that first go back and forth with the cat. Vets aren't best of direction they usually have got to see it so more commonly I do not know the way he might pass over it. I'll be eager about what others need to inform you.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

(I know how hard it can be to when a pet you love passes away and being sad and crying is normal. Don't worry about forgetting him because it sounds like he left lasting paw prints on your heart. Nothing but time will help with the pain of losing him. )

The death of a beloved pet hurts just as much as the loss of a friend or relative. Time is the only thing that will get rid of the loss. Do not think that another cat or pet or anything else other than time will ease the pain. It is still too close to the death. Crying all the time is common for someone that lost their beloved pet. I will pray for you that the time will pass quickly and that you will learn to accept and understand the process of grief. You have my prayers for being someone that loved their pet so dearly that its passing was difficult, and I pray God helps you to come to terms with this sad time. God Bless You In His Eternal Light.

First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved family member is always hard but unfortunately your emotions won't likely let up any time soon. The best thing you can do is remember your kitty fondly and just know that every day it will hurt a little less. Its not a bad thing to miss your kitty and cry over the loss, so just give yourself time to get over it.
