Where in scriptures does it say that babies automatically go to heaven because they haven't reached the so called "age of accountability" ? The word accountability isn't even in the bible!
The Bible is VERY clear about who gets into Heaven and who doesn't: John 3:3: "...no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
John 3:15: "...everyone who believes in him [Jesus] may have eternal life."
John 14:6: "Jesus answered: 'NO ONE comes to the Father except through me'"
Children, from conception, are sinners. And scripture says that an unsaved sinner cannot enter heaven. In God’s word this is immutable and unchangeable. Our emotions do not enter the equation. Read scripture and see the true state of babies – God does not see the age of a person who dies. He only sees their state. Children are sinners from conception therefore, they do not go to heaven. No one goes to heaven without Christ and the bible gives no exceptions at all. Deal with it. He is God.

Where did you people get the idea that children 8 years, and younger, automatically go to heaven ? There is absolutly no bibilical proof of that.
Though, why 8 and not 9 or 10 ? LOL

Sin is sin no matter how you look at it and God is too Holy to allow sin into his kingdom. Unsaved children aren't exceptions, not matter they be innocent, they were still born in sin and they are in need of the blood of christ. Without Christ, no one enters heaven. Saying that Christ isn't neccesary for the salvation of a child 8 years and under is heresy. Christ came to save everyone, without him you cannot be saved no matter how old you are. If a baby dies, then it was predestined by God because the baby would of became a sinner and gone to hell anyway - Only difference is the timing. Some sinners die young, some die old. Remember, He is God and it is his creation and he can do what he wants to do. Our emotions does not enter the equation. You can pretend and hope all you want, but the word is right there. Take it or leave. Your life or death.

Why do people feel the need to color the gray areas black or try to paint them white?
Could you imagine the atrocities that would have been committed over the years if the Bible said everyone under the age of 12 goes to heaven?
Jesus said the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these (children), and a person can not enter the kingdom unless they have the faith of a child, and he gave very strong warning against people who caused children to sin. Something about a mill stone tied around your neck and getting dropped off in the middle of the lake without a life preserver (my interpretation).
Have you ever held a baby or played with a child?
Do you know the pain personally of losing a child?
I pray you will give this subject some thought in the near future. No the Bible does not say children get into Heaven, but it also doesn't say they don't.
This area of following and understanding God is very very gray. Just because an area of faith is gray doesn't make it evil. The challenge is believing the God of the universe will do what is right. Even Abraham knew this.

Babies cannot make the conscience decision to accept Christ. Babies cannot sin. Is it a sin to cry because you are hungry? Or to pee in your diaper? Yes, a baby will go to heaven when it dies. Same thing with a retarded person or another person of that sort. They do not have the brain capacity to make a conscience, informed decision to accept Christ. They also do not know what sin is, because they do not know the difference between right and wrong. Some of them don't anyway. They will go to heaven also. The bible says there are special angels that God has put in charge over the children.

I am not an athiest... but there is nothing called heaven and hell to start with. If that was the case, how come heaven is paved in gold, diamonds etc and you have plenty of pleasures? Also how come heaven has no animals, insectrs, reptiles etc there... What is heaven and hell is what we do on earth. Do good deeds, be honest, dont lie eetc. Hey, if the fetus and you need to do everyting right for the child to be born Howwever, shoudl something go wrong you shoudl not be subjected to all these judgements and dissection about what happens next. Nobody ever told us truthfully whether they were in heaven or hell and what is gong on. People are overegotistic and must have invented heaven and hell to satisfy their unfulfilled wishes, and dreams to calm themselves... No one knows.

John 3:15, "...everyone who believes..." A baby can not believe! How can a baby be born again when a baby can not understand that he/she must be born again?
Ezekiel 18:20, "The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son...." Each must bear their own sins, not the sins of others.
Yes, the Bible is very clear.

Apparantly you've read only parts of the Bible. That is called taking scriptures out of context; something many people do, to try to prove a point.
The truth about babies who die, unsaved, is quite simple. They are not lost forever, or doomed to hell, or purgatory or whatever strange belief some church may tell us. The real truth must come from God, and his Holy Bible. So, then, after a babies death, they just simply go to the grave. ( which the Bible refers to as hell; Hell IS THE GRAVE!
Then when the Resurrection occurs, they are alive, and will be given a chance to follow Christ, just as everyone else who died without Christ. Then after a period of time, they must choose Christ, and if they do not, they will cease to exist. If they choose to follow Christ, at that resurrection, those babies will live forever with Christ and God.
So, instead of going around upsetting the moms and dads of babies who died, unsaved, find out the truth from the Bible and "deal with it!"

If you believe in the Atonement of Jesus Christ which did away with orginal sin permits every child a free ticket to heaven. Plus if they are under the age of 8 they also get a free ticket to heaven. Satan doesn't have the power to tempt them until their 8th birthday.

I am really sorry but i fail to agree with you on this one.
Didn't you read the story of the thief on the cross? was he baptized or even considered saved in the sense of what the word represents now?
God has the power to do whatsoever He chooses, and this includes deciding who should enter his kingdom and by what means.
Furthermore the Bible states that...
"For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy" 1 Corinthians 7:14.
The Bible also states that
" ....I had not known sin but by the law, for i had not known lust except the law had said thou shalt not covet...but sin taking occasion by the commandment wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. for without the law, sin was dead. ''
and
" Wherewithall shall a young man cleanse his ways?by taking heed thereto according to thy ( God's) word" Psalm 119:9
And
"Faith commeth by hearing and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10:17
And
Now abideth faith, hope and charity (love) these three but the greatest of these is Charity" 1 Corinthians13
So you see one cannot sin unless you are aware of what sin is, but one can in fact born into sin because of the natural nature of man. And this nature can only be judged when one is cognizent of it and what it does, Babies dont know that.( but thats also my reasoning!)
But we can never be certain so leave it for God to decide.
God bless

You can find articles on the Internet which support either position in just a few seconds using Yahoo or Google.
I will not waste time debating the point here, since it doesn't seem to have any practical application to anyone here (we are obviously not infants).
