The atheist will explain to me that the reason I'm hanging there has a completely scientific explination and I should study and find my own way and thus gain independance of the cliff.
The witch would tell me that all things are the will of the goddess and she will send her creatures to aid me. Then walk away
The christian will tell me that the lord moves in mysterious ways and there is a lesson to be learned from the cliff. They would then spout off fifteen different scriptures that had nothing to do with the current situation. At which time I would let go of the cliff edge just to get away.

If the person doing the saving was a Christian and knew the person hanging was an atheist or Wiccan,the Christian would step on fingers. Atheists and Wiccans would just pull the person up regardless of their belief system.

Any of them would probably save you, given the proper circumstances. Unless they ask what your religion is... then the Christian would step on the Atheists or Witches fingers and then leave.

If Im hanging from a cliff, how the hell am I supposed to save someone? Arent they supposed to save me??
If the roles were reverse, Id save the Atheist - after all, this is his only shot at life. The witch can say a spell and fly to safety and the Christian - well, they have Heaven, so ADIOUS SUCKER! Id be scrambling over their body to get back up that cliff face!

Who will do what has nothing to do with their religious beliefs. The majority of people will help, and not because of religion or lack thereof. There are some people out there who would step on fingers, but those are sick people, and that decision would have nothing to do with religious beliefs.

Depends on who's got a rope, who's actually standing there, and who has the physical strength to get the job done.
Step on my fingers?... Depends on who's seriously pissed off at me... and I mean SERIOUSLY PISSED!!!!
I'm Christian, and I'd save you. I may not be very big or strong (5'3", 125 lb...), but I'll do my dangedest to get you back to safety.

any of them could, there is good and bad people in each of the categories you listed.
The Christian might just step on your fingers as a favor to speed your ascent into eternal life.
