I just turned 18 years old and saw a pediatric endo two years ago. I have always had short stature throughout life but part was blamed on my bone age being behind. I was continuously monitored and saw different doctors. I since moved away from my old pediatric endocrinologist who told me to come back in a year. Its now two years and i was wondering if I should go to a ped endo or a regular endo. Wouldn't a pediatric endo have more expearience with short stature? Problem is, its really hard to get an appointment with pediatric endocrinologist and cant get one until November. Opinions please!

I think you're old enough to see a regular endocrinologist.

What was your diagnosis under your previous doctor? You could alwaysjust see an Internist and then be referred to the appropriate specialist as necessary. Good luck!

at 18 it is time you were treated like an adult, see an endocrinologist, they have very bit the expertise you need to deal with your issue.
