Don't bother buying the book because you got it exactly right.

Back in the 70's and early 80's there was a lot of this "power of positive thinking" stuff. This is basically an organized revamp of that.

They say that if you use positive thinking and visualizations, you can make what you want "come" to you without really working for it. It's ridiculous.

The Secret is new book release that was presented on the Oprah Show. A panel of phycology and self help gurus (sp)
discussed and explained that our thoughts have magnetive power that attracts what we expect. This is a peanut version of what I heard.

The secret is a book that someone just recently came out with to make money off something that God has been saying for a long time . It says that what you speak, that you will have.
The bible says " Speak those things as though they were".

It's more like Jimminy Cricket. Wish for it and you'll get it.

Realistically, wish for it and sometimes you'll get it and sometimes you won't. More often if you actually work for it you'll get it.

There's nothing wrong with positive thinking to get yourself motivated and moving on the right path. There's just no magical answer, which is what "the secret" claims to have.

It is a dangerous belief that you can "will" things to happen through some mystical "attraction theory". It's generally aimed at middle income housewives who want a better home and to lose weight.

Its a book that is endorsed by Oprah! lol...

Its just a little bit of new ageism and common sense....
"you have the power within to change your destiny"...
"think positively, and good things will come your way"....

blah! blah! blah! lol....
me, I put my trust in Christ, not in myself.
I know that I can do ALL things; but its Christ, in me, that strengthens me
