It depends on the beer. I had a bottle of Adnams's bitter from the fridge the other night and it was tasteless. I had another bottle at room temperature and this one was smooth and full of flavour. Modern beers (Tetleys, Worthington's, Stones etc) are just as bland warm or cold. More traditional beers - micro brewery stuff, real ale etc are ruined if they're too cold. Don't forget refrigeration systems have only been going for 60 or so years, beers been around for centuries! Don't take notice of any of our American friends they don't know anything about proper food or drink (Mc D's, Starbucks "coffee", crap chocolate etc) How can a country who produce tasteless crap like Budweiser (and attempt to steal the name of a proper brewer) and make any negative comment about European beer??!

It depends on the beer, I prefer a dark beer or Ale over a typical pilsner or watery American beer. A light lager should be cold, but for the most part warm beer is good.

Ewww, how can u drink warm beer? It's best chilled till it's ice cold. Don't drink it warm! That spoils the whole idea of a cold beer after work.

I got sensitive teeth, I hate cold beer, I can take a really nice long pull at a room temp beer, and it tastes better, too much cold kills the taste..

Only Nettle beer should be drunk cold on a hot day. I don't like cold beer. It has to be room temperature for me.

I like Guinness warmer that is the way it should be drank. The only reason they brought out the cold one is that it is quicker to pour as you can pour it in one go.
Original Budweiser (the Czech one) is nice cold unlike the cheap imitation one that is made in America

As long as the cellar is well kept by the manager of the pub, the lines are cleaned regularly, and the glasses are spotless, cask ales cannot really be beaten for flavour
