It's really stupid to argue that "if they're hard workers, why don't they go back and work for citizenship like everyone else?" or "illegal is illegal a crime is crime" "blah blah".
Who is everyone else?
The fact of the matter is that if illegal immigrants had accessible channels to come here legally initally, they all would have come legally. Unfortunately, there are no legal channels available for those that are poor and lack a formal education, so they come illegally because there is a demand for their labor in the many sectors of the U.S. economy.
The point is, most of your dreaded illegals want reform, because they know there was no option for them prior to entering the country illegally to work in the many industries that are dependent upon this labor.
HYPOCRISY HYPOCRISY HYPOCRISY
Thousdands of U.S. households have an illegal "cleaning lady" or "babysitter" "nanny" -- Just yesterday, I went to the movies and there was a mexican lady with like ten white kids...

Razor Jim, you've low comprehension skills. Go back to third grade. They know they're coming here illegally, obviously. Re-read for comprehension. Most do not desire nor itend to break the law, that is not the drive. My argument is to question the automatic criminalization of 12 million as if they live to commit crimes. Ignorant masses.

Because they did intentionally violate the law. They were not abducted and brought across the border against their will. They knowingly and willingly broke US law. There are legal channels for immigration. If they are poor and lack education it is MEXICO'S fault, not ours! It Should not become our problem either! Yes the illegals want reform because it is a free ticket to ride with everything given to them. There are NO industries dependant on the cheap labor, only industries whose GREED makes them demand cheap labor. The persons in the thousands of households employing illegals should be arrested and punished also. Breaking the law is breaking the law.

Did they just sleep-walk there way in?
Did they trip and go OH-S***, I'm in the US, I'll just stay?
They DID violate the law, just as almost everyone does every day when they speed.
We have the right, as a nation to close our borders to immigration COMPLETELY if we want. There is a legal way to get here. It is not hypocrisy to want the laws enforced. Or to have them changed.
They had an option. Stay where they were. Or go back.
Personally, I'd like to see more immigration legally, but based in EDUCATION and SKILLS. Not a rush to let in every poor person who wants to make this country into Mexico or some other country and has their hand out for all my money.

If there are no legal channels, then they shouldn't come. If they came anyway, they intentionally violated the law. It's that simple. If the parents of the 10 white kids violated the law, the they should be punished, too. If they're not willing to pay a sitter what she's worth, then one of the parents needs to stay home. The people with illegal cleaning ladies and babysitters are guilty and should be punished. Let them pay their help legitimate wages and for legitimate help.

You may find this as difficult to believe as I do, but WE AGREE ON SOMETHING!!!! You are absolutely right on this one! I have know so many "rich" people who employ "illegals", and they are still yelling about getting this "element" out of the US---as well as the many middle and lower class folks who somehow believe that these immigrants are taking their jobs.
I have long thought that it was a shame that we have so many jobs available for so many people who want them and will hard at them, but that the only way they can get here to work at them is to "break a law". (If Native Americans had had the same sort of "immigration laws" we would not be the nation that we are!.......{that's a joke})
I may be a "Liberal puke", but I am with you on this one!!!!

It's not a matter of thinking they violated a law. It is fact. Pretty simple really.
"Unfortunately, there are no legal channels available for those that are poor and lack a formal education, so they come illegally ". Tell that to all the poor and uneducated that did come here legally. Talk about hyprocrisy.
See ya!

The immense majority of unlawful immigrants are from Mexico. The motive they stand out is when you consider that they freely flaunt their unlawful fame and disregard our nation and our legislation within the streets. What I have located steady with unlawful immigrants is their in-your-face vanity at spitting on our legislation, as witnessed for your statement. Illegal immigrants haven't any notion of recognize or legislation. By how it IS our trade if any individual is unlawful! All criminals are the trade of a steady society.

The only demand is for their cheap labor. I think they should go back and apply for citizenship legally. We would have a better economy if they werent willing to work so cheap. its not that americans dont want the jobs that they do its just that americans wont work for that cheap. If they dont know that they are violating the law then why do they "sneak" across the border and try top stay hidden? DUH! In reality we are not getting the upper hand by them doing cheap labor because the to make up for the money that they dont earn they just get it from our welfare system. Of course the mexican government doesnt mind them coming to work here because they send money to mexico. so we are basicly supporting Mexico too.

That's what I stress all the time, that they don't come here with the intentions to break the law and be illegal. If nothing works, they will do what is "NECESSARY" to come here and work and live, to feed their children (if they have) and themselves.
It was never an "illegal" immigrants fault when coming here. It was their government who failed them and won't help, and good countries like the US who attracts most in the world of it's freedom.

Clearly, they know they are violating our laws. They made the CHOICE to pack up and stroll across the border. Thus, they INTENTIONALLY violated the law.
If they wanted to get here, they should have started the paperwork and lobbied for change from their home country.
You don't KNOW that a "mexican" lady is illegal. To assume as much makes you worse than those you think are so hypocritical.

if you believe in evolution then you should realize that every starving, abused Mexican we let into America allows the criminal Mexican gov't to enslave, impoverish and defraud the mexican people. as long as the miserable starving masses come to America there will never be a revolution in Mexico. if the miserable people had to stay in Mexico they would rebel- the Mexican gov't would transfer $billions to Switzerland but the mexicans would be free from their chains of poverty and ignorance- AND the PEOPLE OF MEXICO could sue the ex-politicials and Swiss Banks (like the German Jews did the Nazi Swiss bank accounts) and get their stolen $$$ back.
