Call the local humane society and animal control, they should be able to direct you to a low-cost spay/neuter facility.
GOOD LUCK, and THANK YOU for not adding to the growing problem of pet overpopulation!

try your local non-profit animal rescue groups, like the SPCA, Humane Society, or Animal Control Facility. Some larger cities even provide these services for free... I adopted my kitten from the SPCA, for $65, which included her spay, shots, feline leukemia/AIDS, etc... And I know the spay is even cheaper, (like $35).... I always advocate using these community services.... It helps spread awareness and education on spay/neuter, animal welfare, etc.
Way to go for taking a responsible, pro-active step in the health and welfare of your pet!!!

First off, congratulate yourself for being responsible and wanting to get your cat spayed - good for you! :)
Secondly - I did a quick search under "Beautfort, SC humane society" and found this site:
http://www.catswithnoname.net/SouthCarolina.htm
A lot of shelters offer lost cost spay and neuter and/or can direct you to a vet that offers discount spay/neuters in your area.

Call your local shelter or sanctuary. They will lead you in the right direction. Your vet may even know. There are agencies who help spay and neuter pets all over the country. Good luck.
