This depends on what you believe. You may want to read 'Psychology of the Unconscious' by Carl Jung, if you feel this way... he explains that the prophets were 're-born' and all came out new(re-born) from being in a cave(which is symbolic of the vagina and rebirth is what we're seeking, and we accomplish this by pro-creating). And a lot of symbolisms in religions that you would have to read the book to see.
And just like in science, what we know is soooooo small compared to the complexities in life.
So, we can only associate things with what we know(using our 5 senses). We will never be able to truly conceive the absolute truth of life(or God).
Don't let anyone tell you they know the absolute truth(including atheists) because no one knows all. Just believe as you may.
I personally believe in God, because of using the educated theory that everything works tandemly to create life. With the millions of variables that all fit perfectly to allow life, it can not be random. With the increase in computer power, someone may one day be able to calculate the enormous odds it would be that everything happened to 'fall into place perfectly, just because'. It's definitely not something that we could calculate today. You would be better trying to win the lottery numerous times.

No, the they are not all the same nor do they lead to the same end. You are right there are many different beliefs, thus creating different religions, but they cannot all be true or in other words all of them lead to God. Why? Well you said it in your question, they contradict each other. How can two contradictory statements be true simoultainously? Either one is true or one is not true. Let's look at Islam and Christianity as an example. Islam says for one to reach God they must be Islamic and follow the five pillars of their faith. Christianity says that faith in Jesus Christ is the way to God. These are two very different things, one is salvation by works and the other is salvation by faith. Which is true they cannot be both true. People who say what is true for me may not be true for you is a bogus statement. When someone says that you can easily refute their logic by saying is that a true statement? If they say yes then they are admitting to an absolute truth thus destroying their own logic. So yes there is an absolute truth out there about God, which happens to be Christianity, which I will not get into about why for space sake. So if there is absolutes in truth, don't you think God would have absolutes on how to come to Him. I mean what kind of god is so weak that he says, "Oh you can believe what you want about me or how to come to me, even though it is not true, you believe it is true, so who am I do tell you that you are wrong?." I hate to break the news to you, God does not think like this, He only accepts what is true because He is holy. We cannot come to God on a lie. Jesus is truth, all others are lies. God bless.

Bo! You look a bit eerie.
Yes. All religions are basically the same AND that's a bad thing.
Most religions teach immortality of the soul, trinity, hell-fire and that the main objective is 'just be good'.
ALL WRONG!
That's why the don't lead to the summit. They lead nowhere.
Note the words of Jesus:
"Broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it. Whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it." Matthew 7:13,14
The religion Jesus would approve seems to be a small group, not the major ones.

So many people believe that, but most of the religions are
practicing something totally different from the next, so
how can they all end up in the same place?

No, they aren't the same. Compare religions like Islam, Wicca, and Theravada Buddhism, and you'll see three religions that completely disagree on several fundamental levels. They're certainly NOT the same thing buried under new faces and aesthetics. Trying to compare their goals is like trying to play Scrabble with the instructions for Monopoly.
As for "end results" being the same, I do think some people go to different religions for the same reasons, meaning they get some of the same things out of it. But even then you can find two people of the same religion who were driven by completely different reasons.

Most religions are the same. Be a "good" person and you will be "rewarded" (enter a higher level of heaven, obtain a higher state of nirvana, etc.")
However, Christianity is different. Jesus taught that there is nothing a person can do be considered "good" in the eyes of God (Rom. 3:23). In Christianity, a person cannot "earn" their way into heaven. The only way to get to heaven is thru Jesus' sacrifice (John 14:6).
Religion is man's striving after god.
Christianity is God striving after man.

All religions, yes, are the same... beliefs in the unprovable, in the ridiculous, and the path is always the same... when ya die, it's over, as in dead. But that scares the socks off of people, so they believe in JEEESUUUUS to save them from death... the more ridiculous the lie, the easier it is to get the stupid to believe it...

YES - that is exactly what they are - many different paths to the same Divine Entity by whatever name people choose to call it. Only problem is that everyone understands this except for the christians.
