being rude and hurtful to anyone that expresses an idea or thought that conflicts with their beliefs?
I was raised Christian, but am now Atheist. I remember that even Jesus dined with the Sinners and loved them unconditionally...with never a fowl word....

Is it so hard for modern day Christians to act the same as the man they claim to represent?

And to let you rude Christians know...I became an Atheist after being around people like you....I'd rather burn for all eternity then spend one day with the likes of you.....Oh, and don't think for one minute that your example isn't being written in the Book....if you actually believe in all of that...

Firstly...rudeness is not needed....and secondly to Evidence...it's my point...False Christians will be held accountable to turning people away from God...that's stated in the Bible....you as a Christian have a responsibility to show me the light...not claim to be part of it, yet live in the same darkness that I do.....get it....lead by example....

I agree. Even tho i am a Christian i agree today there are so many Christians who claim to be but act nothing like It. And it makes me really sad to see what happens to people when people are so rude. Im very sorry that those people were rude and made you turn from God. I just want you to know. He loves you whether you belive it or not. And he will never give up on you. I will be praying for you. and the people who made you feel this way.

Unfortunately a lot of Christians DO have difficulty living as The Lord calls them to. We are commanded to love everyone just as Christ loved...and that means EVERYONE: murderers, adulterers, slanderers, thieves, prostitutes, homosexuals, etc. So many Christians feel it's their duty to judge and condemn others who don't share their beliefs, but it really is NOT their place to do so. And a lot of Christians have this "holier than thou art" attitude, which totally makes me understand why so many are turned off by Christianity. However, I pray you're able to remember that Christians are human and as a result we will make mistakes. And you say that you became an Atheist after being around "rude Christians." I just would also like to remind you that men will always fail, but the Lord will NEVER forsake you.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
~Deuteronomy 31:6 (New International Version)~

It's a shame you have been ridiculed, to the point you wouldn't mind burning in hell.

Instead of becoming a true atheist,
for one thing, try reading the Book of Job.

He was not encouraged, but brought down in his worst moments. Jesus' disciples left him totally alone, at the time he needed them the most, when he was headed for the cross.

The Bible talks about the critical ones, and the ones who were criticized. DON'T PUT YOUR FAITH IN MANKIND. YOUR FAITH SHOULD BE CENTERED IN THE LORD.

All I can say, is Shame On Them, and Shame on Me, should we, as Christians, do such as that.

MAYBE you were not around Christians afterall.
True Christians read the Bible, and practice the beautiful things of God.

And it looks like the ones you are mad at, were not doing such.

The devil is the author of confusion.
I pray the Lord rebuke the darkness around you, and that your eyes are opened, and you find the truth. That God is the author of love. AMEN.

Those who follow Jesus, should be kind, encouraging, and full of grace. Find a better church. Become agnostic, and think about that eternity in hell. If God sent you a dream about it, I think you'd think twice about it. Visit a burn center or hospital.

Is that the real reason that you became an atheist? Sounds to me that if someone becomes an atheist based on other people then there was a problem from the start. (not telling u that there was or anything) If that is the truth then so be it, you have made a choice.

Christians are people so that means we can be wrong just like everyone else. People outside of the Christian faith can be rude and hurtful too. and it's sad that u let some so called Christians steer you away from God. good bye.

Not all Christians are like that. Take me, for example... I am open to every bodies beliefs. I don't judge anyone on what religion they are. Some of my friends are other religions. I have Muslim friends, Mormon friends, Atheist friends, and other Christian friends. I love all of my friends so much, and like I said before, I don't judge people based on their religions or beliefs.

And all christiians still have struggles just like everybody else.christians are not perfect they are just forgiven by the work of christ. You seem to know the true mesage of Christ.Dont let some wounded false and broken messengers spoil it.The bible says that None are righteous. We proclaimed our saved state by the gift and grace of almighty god.A gift of forgiveness a gift of love. All chrisstian are supposed to mirror backs god love to you.
Servants of god are to be gentle and loving forgiving as we are forgiven.Remember you will know them(true christians) by their full acceptance and unconditional love for you.

Based on your own words, you believe you are a sinner for having rejected christianity.
BTW Rudeness is not the unique domain of 'christians.'
I've seen some atheist who are quite rude.
It seems we all need a 'humble' check
