You can take as much as you want, but eventually the excess will just come out in your urine. You only need so much vitamin C and if you take more, the rest will be wasted. Just stick with 1 tablet.

For adults, the RDAupper level of Vitamin C is 2,000 mg per day. Though there are too much credits on good benefits of Vit C, there are few findings stating that high transient levels of Vit. C do react in a negative way and may possibly be harmful.
Anyway, do you know:
>>that an orange which is one of the best sources of Vit. C - contains about 65 mg of Vit. C?
>>that you need about 30 oranges to get 2,000 mg. of Vit.C?

If you could crush up all of the vitamin C in the world, mix it with water, and push it through a tube that went straight into your stomach for 24 hours every day . . . you'd just get a belly ache (and maybe and ulcer).

Vitamin C is water soluble -- that means it dissolves in water . . . that's great, because no matter how much you take, you'll just pee out whatever you don't use.

When I get sick, I take 1000mg of vitamin C every hour for 12 hours, then I take 1000mg every 12 hours for about a week. I don't stay sick for long. . . and the vitamin C hasn't hurt me.
