I am a christian mom so maybe I can help. I am not sure of your parents motives but for me here are some of my requirements...
Are sleep-overs evil depends on a few things. Your age, your past trust earned (thats a big one), the kid and or the parents of the place you will be staying at. (thats the spiritual side) Then the other unspiritual side factors would be... Are your chores done?, Is it a good night of the week? ect... Oh, lol I know I said I was a mom but the picture is of my husband, we share this account.
There is the chance that mom and dad are too over protective and are in fear in this area or the other option is mom or dad aren't explaining themselves very well but love you very very much and want to protect you from unnecessary harm that they sense.

No, but Ive heard of overprotective parents who are damaging their kids making statements such as that! And what the hell is a spiritual implication anyway? Do they think that all of your friends' parents are members of the same cult that will perform some ritual while you are all sleeping...and that itll occur at each and every house you ever sleep over at? Sleepovers are a normal part of growing up and every kid does it (well, I guess not EVERY kid, huh?) It teaches social skills, provides entertainment for the kids involved, shows them how to make and keep friendships, and, I dont know about any other parent out there, but I used to thoroughly enjoy hosting them for my kids...they eat, talk, play videos, watch movies, laugh, just have fun. And guess what? I knew just where my kids were and had one less night of worrying about them being out somewhere. Sounds like Mom and Dad need to talk with the other parents....maybe theyll change their minds.

Maybe ur parents just say this so u dnt have to sleep at anyone's house, even if they are ur mates, cuz parents care and will make up anyting to persuade you not to do things they dont want u to do, they want to know ur with them and safe., they know anything can happen when their child aint with them so they just want a peace of mind by u being and sleeping in the same house as ur parents, chill out man , they just care and are protective, and LOVE u, so they will make up these things, unless of course there really are seroius abou these so called eveil spirits, but more chance & likely its that ur parents just dont want u ou t their sight, so respect them, appreciate their thoughts, their love, cuz they have seen the world before we have, they know how life is & how it can be, love them back, appreciate their love for u, never disrespect ur parents, PEACE".

I wonder, are you a Jehovah's Witness? I only ask because I grew up as one and was NEVER allowed to go to sleep overs. My parents constantly spewed "bad associations spoil useful habits" as their reason. I had no friends growing up as you can imagine.

It depends upon how warped a person is. It is the image of impropriety that gets some people going. It has nothing to do with what is going on just what some one else might think is going on.

No, I think either your parents are over-protective and just gave a bulls--t reason, or they really are religious. I don't know your paernts, so you decide.
My mom wouldn't let me get a shirt that had a skull on it because she said it would bring demons into the house, but I think the skull scares her.

Well, if I was your mother and there was going to be no parental supervision at your friend's house, I wouldn't let you sleep over there, either.
And I am not religious.

Your parents, in referring to "spitritual", probably mean they're afraid you'll drink some form of alcohol. Are you over 18?

If that is what your parents see fit then you should accept their decision for no doubt it is made in your best interest.
In the light of todays's society they have very good cause for their concerns and I admire their love and concern for your best.
You should consider that they likely have good reasons for their views and their right to do what they think is best for you ought to be upheld and not be dismissed too lightly.

PErhaps these freinds would be a bad influence.... maybe there would not be enough supervision.....Maybe you got in trouble at the last sleep over you went to....
Ask your parents what they mean, they will explain their objections to you.
