My dog is sick he is a 6 month old golden retriever puppy. One of my friends suggested that i should give him 1 tylenoll. Yes i am going to take him to the vet if problems succeed so please dont tell me that. He is drooling a little he is (this is kinda funny) farting alot, i can hear his stomach rumbling (not from hunger). He hasnt eaten anything nor does he want to he has drank a little water, his nose is hot and dry and i am about to take his temperature. So anyway is it ok to give him one tylenoll?

No human medicine? Most of the meds given to animals are human meds with different doses and names. Sounds more like he ate something that doesn't agree with him. Don't give the dog Tylenol and if his stomach is already upset aspirin will only make things worse. Call the vet and make an appointment. Since its summer you don't want the dog to dehydrate. You didn't mention if the dog has diarrhea or not. One possibility is a dog that age ate something and is unable to pass it. If the dog starts to vomit you must seek medical attention immediately.

I would not give him any tylenol. It sounds like he has some kind of gastrointestinal infection possibly. He's really young, as being so he doesn't have a lot of body mass to cope with whatever is attacking his system. Please take him to the vet immediately as these things can turn ugly very fast. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

No you shouldn't give him Tylenol only aspirin. It sounds as if he may have a stomach virus. He may have eaten something from the garbage or outside. If he isn't drinking much water you should get him to see your vet. Dogs can get dehydrated very fast.

My golden retriever was a little weird a few weeks ago too. He could have gotten ahold of some chocolate (it makes them have upset stomachs, diarrhea) which would make them feel funny. My breeder said try feeding him warm rice with chicken (not fried..) and my dog wasn't eating anythign he usually eats but he ate the rice. I'd say just take him to your vet.

I don't think that is a good idea. I do know that benadryl is allright to give to a dog. I know you are planning on going to the vet, but you can still call for advice. Is sounds like he might have gotten in to some type of posion. Have you recently fertilized? My dog ate grass that was recently fertilized, and he had the same syptoms.

No to the Tylenol. Yes to the vet, as it sounds like he might have a blockage.

Bad Idea, Although people say, tylenoll. Don't do it, the Vet I am volentering at says it can harm their digestive tract. It is bad news, so are aspirin and advil. Dogs aren't people, don't treat them with human meds. Take it to your Vet!

just take him to the vet. i dont think tylenol is a good idea for dogs..
i'm always worried about my dog when he get ANY symptoms. whether it be a few coughs or few bumps on his skin, i immediately go to the vet. just to make sure that if it gets worse, he wont die or something bad happen to him.
