Basically caffeine is caffeine. The best thing about tea is it doesn't have quite as much caffeine as a cup of coffee does. Also coffee can tend to give someone a gittery feeling where tea tends to wake up your mind while kind of calming your body. The amino acid theanine is said to calm the body.

Caffeine is caffeine and too much is bad no matter the source - if it makes you jittery or lose sleep that is too much. If you are looking to cut back switch to herbal teas and Postum for a coffee substitute. Good Luck!

caffeine is the same chemical no matter where it is found.

It is the concentration or amount found within your drinks that is of concern.
