hi i recently went to GNC and purchased a weight gainer called Pro Performance Weight Gainer 1850. See im really underweight and want to gain between 10-17 lbs. I've been reading and it said that the weight gainers make you fat, is it true. I do want to gain weight but not fat. So how long do you think it will take me to gain the weight and how much fat will be added on? Should i take this everyday with regular meals? What exercises should i preform? do you think its a bad idea my parents are making me. i lift 5lb weights everyday for20-40 minutes. What foods should i eat to help me gain wieght? I dont think i should take these so does anyone have any reccomendations on how i can convince my parents not to make me take these, money, or eating alot.,
im 13 year old female, 5ft 5 in and weigh 102lbs

OK, Pooh Bear - it's me again.
Tell your parents that as long as you eat normally, that stuff is not good for you. No matter what calories you eat, the excess will turn to fat, unless you are in a professional body-building course.
Ingesting too much protein can cause kidney problems, and increase your risk of cancer [ my dad died of cancer, and that was his only risk factor. ]
I know I recommended pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches. You should also do some sort of aerobic exercise three days a week.
