Ive been looking on the web for defense weapons, and i came across a pair of clear knuckles made of bulletproof glass. i know that brass knuckles are illegal because they break bone but the clear ones they break the skin. But i don't know if they are legal in the NY. I need something to protect me in this creepy county. that could be legally concealed in my pocket without a permit. thats not a knife

You CANNOT carry a weapon concealed on your person in NY, no knives, guns, bats, nothing CONCEALED. So the fact that you want a concealed weapon means that you will need a permit.

rest assured, if you are confronted by a police officer, and he discovers glass knuckles on your person, you will be charged under the statutes related to possession of a concealed weapon, and under any statute that directly relates to "Brass knuckles"

This is mainly due to the fact that most people arrested for a crime of this nature will "Plea Out" to the charge, and so police behaviours such as over-charging, or filing incorrect charges are never addressed.

I hope this helps you.

PS, get a can of pepper spray for your keys. Use the type that is advertised as "Police Issue" or "Police Strength". I have maced myself with the "over the counter" and had no trouble, but the cop stuff put me on the ground, without even a direct hit. You wont face criminal charges as a result of carrying it, and after you spray a dude in the face, you can kick him a couple of times, just as good as the knucks.

Number 1 is the knucks will be a weapon. #2 is you must be pretty spanky good to be able to put on a set of knucks and start duking it out with someone while they just wait until you're ready.

If someone is going to attack you, they usually will do it without notice since not too many of them use Marquis of Queensbury rules.

Just from my experience but it sounds like maybe you are preparing to be the start of a problem rather than the end. And if you think glass knucks wont break bones, you really need to re-consider.

Two words, "PEPPER SPRAY", it works. I do not know if it is legal in New York but it would be better than carrying that than a weapon designed for the sole purpose of causing more damage to a person when struck.

It is considered a weapon! Buy some pepper spray! Better yet move to a state that allows you to carry Guns and Knives to protect yourself! In N.Y. if you shot someone who was going to kill you you would go to prison. In Texas you get a "GOOD JOB".
