If your skin is peeling, you didn't tan, you burned. Use sun screen and limit your exposure. Try 100% pure aloe vera gel for the burn and for dry skin.

If its started peeling, there's nothing you can do. To stop skin from peeling or keep it to a minimum you just have to use a good quality moisturiser as soon as you start going out in the sun.
There's always the train of thought just keep out of the sun, but I don't subscribe to this!

If itchy do an oatmeal soak
take a hydrating soap and use a wash cloth or sea salt scrub to get rid of all the dead skin/cells.
Make your own with kosher salt and olive oil (I love awaken by Arbonne)...
follow up with a cream not containing mineral oils - as they dry you out more (read labels)

You burnt yourself, next time don't stay out as long. Use sunscreen to prevent burning, you CAN STILL GET A TAN WITH SUNSCREEN.

You can't glue it back, so scrub it off.
