How to redo my room?

Question

I want to redo my room. I'm thinking either a light blue and white. Not boyish but feminine and peaceful. But I sort of want a bright and preppy room with pinks. I still haven't decided and when I do I'm afraid I'm going to make the wrong choice. I already know everything I want to do for the blue room, but I have no idea for the pink. I don't want to paint every wall hot pink because I'm afraid that would be going overboard. I was thinking maybe pink, white, and another color stripes. What is your opinion? I'll take any great ideas and websites!

I am also needing a place to find bedspreads. I looked at walmart, kmart, ikea, bedbathandbeyond,delias, pbteen, and pottery barn. I want pink. But sophisticated.

maybe you should do black and white with a hot pink or light blue. paint your walls white with a single focus wall being either blue or pink. the black could be your accent color like paint your base board black and get some black and white accessories. it is classic and as you get older you can change it easily without having to repaint.

Do all the blue stuff you have already chosen, and add the hot pink in accessories:
comfy chair [ with the blue-white-pink print pillows ]
lamps [ do blue lamps with white shades, and put pink rick-rack or fringe on bottom. ]
pillows? [ print with blue, white, and pink ]
pink tiebacks for blue/white curtains
pink dresser accessories
pink candles in blue or white holders
OR, switch the pink color to:
electric lemon
lime green
bright orange
bright purple

trust me, dont do the pink and preppy thing. you will get sick of it. I almost did that but i didnt and i am glad. Go with the light blue because it is very relaxing and peaceful. white and light blue are very feminine colors when used together.
