they will grow farther apart. science will advance even more, and gradually more and more people will relegate religion to the realm of mythology, where it belongs. that is what i hope for every day, because otherwise, we will eventually tear each other apart, over the words in a book. einstein was a great man and great scientist, but he was wrong that science without religion is lame, because science exists to pursue knowledge and truth, religion has very little to do with either

I'm sorry to say there will always be extremist on both sides, some people are too educated for their own good to think their might be god. And there are the creationist that cannot believe in evolution even though they see it in everyday life. I made a conscious decision to believe that God created everything. The dinosaurs, the monkeys, the caveman, everything. Not just what we read in the bible. The bible is a wonderful thing but it isn't a substitute for further education.

Science deals with facts; it has nothing to do with religions, which are fantasy. Religions should stay outside of the realm of science; otherwise they're asking for a good debunking.

The only time religion and science come together is when it furthers the aim of religion who use the Bible to rule. If it disagrees with the Bible, it is disavowed true or not.

Science is the work of the Devil. In the beginning Adam and Eve did not need Science, they had Faith. Science lead to their death. It was the tree of knowledge that separated Adam and Eve from God. Satan gave man knowledge, so that we would no longer believe in or have faith in God. From the very beginning science and knowledge has been trying to eliminate God. Faith allows us to believe, man was created by dirt. Science and knowledge will have you believe we came from Apes. Science would have us believe that a river can not be split. But my Bible tells me Moses did it. Science will have me believe than what comes up must come down. But I believe my Lord defies gravity. Science is the lies the devil would have you believe. God and the Bible are the truth. Anting other than what God states as true, is false. All that is false is the work of the devil. Things are either, of God, or not of God. There is no Gray area. It's one or the other. You either believe what God says, or you don't. Things are either black or white. God or the Devil. Faith or Knowledge. Religion or Science.

I would hope that they would grow closer. The notion that they are at odds is an artificial one. Scientific observations about how the physical world works don't need to change religious ideas about what's important in the lives of people.

i think that as we grow closer to the end of the endtime, those who are filled with God's Spirit will know the spiritual application to what is happening,
while unbelievers will embrace scientific reasons for what is happening.
example: (rev. 16:21 refers to one of the vials that God pours out during His wrath)
when at the battle of armageddon, hail weighing 125 lbs. each falls from heaven...
scripture says it is a plague or a judgment from God upon the evil, while science will have its own explanation of the event.
And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. (rev. 16:21)

The straight answer is further apart:becuase it's easier for people to be wicked and evil than it is to do right by God
But there's still those of us out here that pray false science may be debunked and that people hearts would be turned toward God.

Religion will keep moving forward, and religion will try to take credit for what science finds and explains.
