Ooops...should have been more specific. I do use a towel to cover my face. The flaking is on my forehead when I spray my bangs.

I don't think the other answerers understood. You don't necessarily need to shield your face from the make-up, but the spray could be the problem. Try something like Garnier Sleek & Shine hairspray that isn't sticky, and even if it does brush against your face, it doesn't affect make-up.

try hairspray that doesnt come from an aerosole can
like herbal essecence
its in like a spray bottle
it wont be so flaky on your hair
and probably wont affect your makeup
you can also direct the spray better
i prefer spray bottle to aerosole can

ur hairspray is affecting ur makeup? sounds like u just need to put ur hand around ur face to sheild the hairspray from hitting ur face. no need to switch hairsprays.

r u spraying ur hair spray on ur make up?
y dont u cover ur face with face towel or paper to prevent it from spoiling ur make up

put your make up on after you do your hair.
or if you spray after hold a paper towel up to your face so you don't spray yourself with it and mess your make up.

try a liquid spray hair spray instead of aerosol
