How important is this person's friendship to you? Are you willing to risk this friendship if you sleep together and it changes how comfortable you currently are with each other?
Do you just want the physical experience, or would you propose this as a steppingstone to changing the nature of your relationship?
Sorry, no answers, just questions.

Sex, have the tendency to change the course of what two individuals are feeling-with that known it is important to expect that someone may have long hidden feelings and sex can complicate the depth of friendship. One person may want more-, therefore before you enter the realm of sex, state your intention and get a clear picture of what the other party is expecting from you. If you intent is to have sex with your friend, it is quite oblivious that you have find that person sexually desirable and before you make an attempt in bringing that up, assess whether the person in question feels the same way and again, what are does he/she expects from you. You may ask open ended questions, be very candid and express your desire for an earnest answer from the recipient; you give the same honest answer(s).

Is it a good friend or a friend u have recently met.
Senario 1: Good friend...Bad idea. Why take a chance to ruin an awsome relationship with someone you have know for a long time and that you enjoy spending time with?
Senario 2: Recently Met Friend...Still a Bad Idea. Why take a chance and ruin a new relationship that could mean something special in the long run?
If you ask me, sex should be saved for marrige and for the one that you truly love with all of your heart. Hope this helped!!

If you want that friendship to last don't have sex.
If you thinking short term like and you might get a better friend to replace her one day then go for it.
Go out and have some fun one night and just pop the question over a couple of tequilas slammers.

There is nothing wrong with it if you both are mature enough to seperate sex from emotion. If not then one or both of you are liable to get emotions confused and that never turns out good.. plus once you cross that line with a friend you can almost never go back and things will never be the same.. so be prepared for that.

Hmmm . . . Just ask I guess. However I must warn you. In any booty call situation there is typically a person that starts to care for the other and things go bad in a hurry. But hey - enjoy while the getting's good.

Ask them that exact question. If they say yes, you're in. If they ask, "why, do you want to have sex?" play it cool and tell them, "I was thinking about a situation back in college/ highschool/ whatever. If they say "No," sorry, you lost.

Then you change the dynamics of the friendship. Don't know if I would. I keep lovers separate from friends.

Usually not a good idea. If you want to stay that person's friend I would not attempt that at all.
