There are so many contradictions in life - the list can go on and on - whether you find it in the Bible or elsewhere. Whether you believe or not does not necessarily make you a fool. One thing I know is that life is just the stepping stones to Home. Where you go and how you get there is completely up to you. It's your choice and you should not be judged for that. However, life is short and you only have this time to decide which path will lead you Home.

What contradiction?
The person that shares a scripture verse with you is not telling you what they think, but what God thinks. The context of Matthew 5:22 is when someone is angry and says You Fool to the person with whom he is angry then, he is in danger, not if he is just pointing out what God says about a particular thing.

Congradulations. You have found something to make you doubt and despise the Bible. Oh Boy! Even if you are looking at it wrong. You are a fool indeed. If I say you are a fool and I have intentions to do harm to you, than that would fit what Jesus was saying in Matthew 5:22. I really doubt that my expanation is convincing to you.

this queston is in dire need of a definition
a fool is some one who is closed minded and ignorant of facts and closed to any debate or discussion when it comes to matters of great importance.
Just they way you worded your queston, eliminates you from the catigory of fool.
im not trying to suck up here this is a huge point you cannot be inqusitive and open to debate and be a fool , the two are opposing mind sets
as to the queston of god i have seen too much of science and religon to doubt the exsistance of a creator.
what and who that objective fact points to is a matter of subjective speculation. i being a follower of the bible would point to this one thing to the inquisitive mind
the error record of biblical prophecy is at or near 100% true (i studied this in my journey) if someone can navigate history past and history future and predict its flow
he is at least worth listening to to get a feel for what he is saying
enjoy the ride

It's not a contradiction.
It only means that we, as sinners ourselves, are not pass judgement and decide who is a fool.
Only God can know what a person says in their heart...therefore only God can know if that person is a fool.

You are person who is in a state of moral and intellectual dullness*. Thus said, it would be my folly to discard you and your foolish ways and ignore my short comings. If you view your dilemma in this way, the seeming contradiction becomes clear cut reason.

The verse in Psalms is stating a fact, if you deny God, you are a fool. However, the verse in Matthew refers to a personal insult.
