Usually when a person is infatuated they think the person is so perfect and he or she couldn't do anything wrong. Being in love is knowing this person's flaws (including the ones that make you so mad you could stab them if it was legal) and still wanting to be with them.

When you realize that the needs and wishes of your partner outweigh your own is the moment you are in love.
You will know love when you realize that you can sincerely, not slavishly, put another person before yourself, and that person does the same for you.
In this way, love is about exchange and patience. It takes a long time to feel fully secure and open to another person. When the fiery romance dwindles, two people bonded in friendship and devotion remain. Then, after time, love will inevitably change. If your relationship endures through changes, then you have found a true love.
However, love comes in many colors and shapes. Do not limit yourself to what anyone else will say. Make your style of love unique and it will flourish.

You just know you are. I knew I was when I had these enormous butterflies in my stomach from just a kiss and when I felt like I'd do anything in the world to make that person happy and to be with them. It's the crazy things that you think about this person that makes you know that.

After you have been dating for a long long time and you get over the early crush and perhaps lust....when get to know them when they are not trying to impress you....then when you still get that warm feeling ...you are in love.

it's a feeling that can mean different things to different people. usually on a simplistic level, i'm just downright excited to spend any free time I have with my new love interest...and excited to hear from him, whether it be phone, text, email....i'm smiling...
