How much do you expect to get for it and how can one verify its authenticity?

If you are expecting it to be a rather high dollar item you might try an auction house like Sothby's.

First of all, why are you selling a Jeraboum 2000 Lafite? The value of that thing is at least $7000-8000, if not more, due to the extraordinary high quality (and price) of 2000 Bordeaux as well as the rarity of a Jeraboum. Its price will just go up much higher as time goes along.

If you want to sell it online, you can try www. winecommune.com. That is one of the more popular wine trading website online.

Honestly, I would go to the sommeliers of your local top restaurants - concentrating on Steakhouses and French restaurants - to see if they would be willing to pay for this wine. If you know your wine and its value, then you can get a fairly good price from the restaurants, since they are looking for the rare and unusual wines and have the budget for it. Jeraboum 2000 Lafite would certainly qualify for that. Sometimes they are willing to pay for higher-than-usual prices, since they have the money and will pretty much double or triple the return. One of my friends sold a bottle of 3 liter Revana 2001 (inaugural wine, only 6 made) for 4 times of the price she paid for to a steakhouse, and that was only after 4 years of storage.

All else fails, how much are you willing to sell to me?

Don't use ebay ... if you are going to start a business auctioning things off such as items you find at yard sales and such ... use http://www.onlineauctionexchange.com with no No Listing Fees, No Commission or End-of-Auction Fees you have nothing to loose. With ebay you'll be paying all kinds of fees and if nothing sells from the start they can add up quick. http://www.onlineauctionexchange give you the opportunity to start earning cash right from the start. And whats really cool is they give you $1000 worth of credit to start off. Use the credit for premium auction listings are to open you own online store ... great website, a must see for any hard core online auctioneer.

craigslist.

The key to selling it on ebay is to sell the bottle as a collectors item not the content. Check out the ebay listing below for an example

Ebid? Tazbar?

Not sure if either of them allow alcohol sales though!
