Why do people leave stupid and rude answers to people with real questions? Don't they have a life?
I know lots of people leave dumb comments to the dream section. How do we get rid of these kinds of people with no lives and just want to put people down to make themselves feel better? Maybe..

I just get annoyed when I read what some people write that may hurt my or others' feelings. Does anyone else feel that way?

Simply put, because they are immature and have no respect for others, these are the type of people that make the world a bad place. If everyone respected each other and would at least take the time to listen and kindly debate, what they disagreed with, the world would be a much better place.

Acting immature and rude online has many motives.
For one, people feel empowered by anonymity. When no one knows who you are, they cannot attack you directly. Of course, you can, in your defense, insult them, but the distance and unfamiliarity between you both creates a solid defense.
The next thing to consider is that people derive pleasure from making others angry. It's easy to come online and cause trouble. Again, there are no immediate consequences yet immediate gratification.
To discourage such posting, ignore them or give them a thoughtful rebuttal. If they raise their self-esteem by name calling and irreverent criticism, then they only hurt themselves. Tell them: Why not direct that energy into something constructive- read a book, or, if you must post, write honest questions and strong responses.
Then again, some people are just irreparably immature.

there are alot of people out there with a lack of self confidence, and they hide behind email addresses and whatever they can find. they make up for their lack of confidence by saying things that hurt others just to think they have the upper hand in a situation.
another possible reason is they were picked on when they were young and never got over it. they just want to hurt others so they can get even with past situations.
try to learn to ignore those people and for God's sake don't become part of the problem by arguing back. some of those people need professional help, or it could just be some kids goofing around. you are a better person than they are, so keep it that way.

It's like this in every popular message posting site/forum. I been surfing the Internet on a daily basis since 1998. Back in the days, they would post a person's ip address after each post. I doubt we will ever see that again.

i dont know why they do it, but it is irritating. if you dont have a legit answer, or anything nice to say, keep it to yourself. people are just here to get advice or answers, not be judged by others.
