I don't have very much time to excercise because I have two children that take up alot of my time. I will try to walk my baby in her stroller, but I also like to ride my bike when I can. Which one is better, riding the bike or walking? I am at 140lbs right now and would like to lose 10. How often should I bike or walk and for how long??

According to Prevention Magazine (my bible!) walking and swimming are the best exercises for the whole body. Start gradually, and work up to a brisk walk of at least 10 minutes. Then you can keep going faster and longer (without baby, right?!) as long as you want. You should always be able to carry on a conversation, or you're overdoing it. Riding your bike is also great, in my opinion. The more you do, the more calories you'll burn. Drink lots of water, and cut out sugar. Good luck! I like your question. It deserves a star! :)

Keep alternating them. Your body can get too used to one exercise and you will not lose weight. I switch between running, walking, biking and swimming and have seen great results!

If you're doing them for the same amount of time, you're probably burning about the same amount of calories, unless you ride the bike really fast.

well both of them are the best exercises you can get
but if you children are old enough like more than 6 months ... go walking with them every night
you will have your exercise and gain more useful time with your children .. have fun ...

There both 50/50 to me, but since you have kids i would get someone to mind them and go with whatever is more fun, easier and fat burning. Remember to use protein shakes for energy. good luck.
