A false assumption of reality is bad not only for the believers, but for the nonbelievers that believe that that is the only assumption of reality. A Christian says that his God is the only God. How is this any different than a scientist assuming the Christian God is the only "god" that could be proved or disproved?

People who seek this evidence typically are just accepting the validity of the Bible as an historical document. If they believe there was a flood then there is probably evidence of it. The idea isn't that there is a need to prove the Bible, it's an archaeological interest to see the proof in which they already believe.

Other than Jesus, those things aren't just Christian. You are asking about the Abrahamic god, who is also known as YHWH and Allah. All 3 are rooted in the same stories.

The thing that makes it so special is majority rule. With Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worshipping the same deity, there are a whole lot of humans praying to one thing.

I suppose they need to show proof that they have a valid belief. Plus, many christians seem to place most of their faith in the bible as the "word of god" even though it was written by man and man had decided not to place all the writings by their own religious leaders/figures in the bible. Maybe they don't have true faith, which comes from the soul.

Belief in Gods has been the biggest waste of mankind's time, it boggles the mind to think of the loss of life the wasted resources and energies put into this farce. There are huge holes in all religious writings and they all have male authorship. IF and that's a big IF people lived by any of the true word of God"s and their writings and I mean any of them this world would be better than it is, except for woman.

Nothing is special about the Christian God and I mean that in all honesty. Maybe India doesn't need to dig for Vishnu, they already found the shist at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

It's cultural, obviously. The only people who have tried to convert me are Christians, not even Jews or Muslims... because I live in the United States.

Also, Christians like to claim that there is "proof," which can misguide more than just the believers. The pursuit of knowledge is a worthy one, especially if it is to undo beliefs that lead to ignorance and suffering...

Because most of the people have felt Him personally and many have seen the fulfillment of the Bible verses in their own lives. Many have been touched by Him and had a great transformation in their life. This proves that He is the real and living God.

Some need proof to understand or believe/disbelieve. The one undeniable truth is that Jesus was a man who walked this Earth. Those who say that he is a fairly tale do not know history. Whether you believe he was God that walked the Earth is up to you.

Sorry honey. I beg to differ.

The doctors involved in "neurotheology" - which is the study of a religious experience as it pertains to our brains - study all kinds of faiths. They have Christian monks, Buddhist monks, Sufi practitioners - and so on.

Science does not seek to prove there is a creator as outlined in Genesis. Science studies man.
