I had the classic out of body experience when my heart stopped during surgery.Rising to the celing seeing my body being worked on. Heading through a long tunnel heading to the white light, surrounded by others all heading the same way. There was beautiful music , a chorus of voices. A feeling of complete peace ,tranquility and joy was what I felt. It was a sense of feeling completely safe and as if I belonged with all those who passed before me.

I was twelve years old. I heard voices discussing me. They said that I had not had my children yet so I had to go back. I wanted to stay.

I didn't tell anyone about what I saw for fear they would call me crazy. From that day forward, I have not been afraid of dying.

What I think what happens is that my soul, spirit goes up to heaven to meet the one and only God so he could decide where I should go to Heaven, Purgatory if your catholic you know what I mean, or Hell and your body stays in the ground to turn into ash. That is why Catholic believe in Ash Wednesday. I hope this helps you some what. I know its a scary thing because I am also scare to find out what's next.

Your spirit goes over to the next level. While the body, which was just a house that your spirit occupied is buried.there is no death as we know it.We live on and on.Just not in the same form or realm..Any spiritualist can tell you that.Just read your Bible.Life is eternal.

What I believe, if you die before judgement day, is not a whole lot. I belive your soul just "rests", I guess you could compare it to sleeping without dreaming. After judgement day, you have one of two places you can go, I'm sure you don't need me telling you what they are. I'm not sure how death feels, perhaps your body goes into a brief (but severe) state of shock, which numbs you to everything. I guess it all depends on how you die.

Not sure about the dying part, kinda scary, but after death, I think we are suddenly and gloriously free - I think we gravitate to like souls and most likely, after we rest, start the process all over again.

I honestly believe you roam the earth with no body. You can see your loved ones but they cant see you. I also believe that these are the the spirits people use for any type of witchcraft, santeria and etc. With the "bad" spirits. Spooky huh?

I'm guessing that it would be kind of like a raindrop falling into the ocean. But what do I know? Check out the movie:
"What the Bleep Do We Know!?" for more musings about such things.

No brain activity, no thought. Dead brain. Nothing much happens after that, unless you were a composer in life. Then you'd be decomposing.

depends on how you die, if its instant or in your sleep, its painless. after you die, the popular decisions are to either be cremated (burned) or buried, either way, you're just dead and gone. there in no god, don't worry about being judged. thats the problem about religion, its always about being judged, whether you're the one judging someone else, or if some cloud of talking swamp gas that people call mr. almighty is judging you. its horseshi....

I believe everything fades to black when we die, perhaps followed by the ultimate out-of-body experience.
