Years ago one of my dogs was with a friend that took him to another house & there was a cat there that scratched his eye. Had to go to the emergencey vet . He was given antibiotic ointment & a ointment for pain relief. This can be VERY serious so if I were you, I'd get him to the vet ASAP. Good luck!!!

Along with taking the dog to the vet, later use fingernail clippers to trim your cat's claws. Dont nip them completely, just trim the point. It should be just enough that if they play or fight again, the cat shouldnt break the skin.

Dont trim the back claws if you can avoid it, and if your cat doesnt like being messed with trim 2 claws, then let the cat go for 30 mins or an hour then trim two more and so on so he doesnt get too stressed.

But I agree with everyone else if the cat scratched the actual eye or very close to it, take him to a vet. It is was just on his face near his eye put a little neosporin and keep watch on it to make sure it doesnt get infected. If it shows any signs of being infected ot if it seems painful, take him in to the vet.

Unfortunately, this is something that requires a veterinary visit. Injuries to eyes are very serious, and without treatment can cause your pet to become blind. A veterinarian will stain the eye and look at the scratch to see how deep it is, and if eye medication will help. If the scratch is too deep, they may refer you to an animal eye specialist. Usually the doctor will prescribe an ointment, but it depends. Some ointments contain hydrocortosone and some don't. If your pet is given the wrong one, it could damage the eye permantly. It is important to get veterinary advice on this issue...please take your pet to his/her veterinarian right away!

You will have to take your pup to the vets to make sure the cat didn't scratch the cornea. Cats claws are a hot bed for bacteria and it can make your pups eye very infected. The sooner you get the pup vet attention the likelihood of a serious infection setting in is greatly diminished.

Don't fool around have your pup seen ok.

Take your puppy to the vet because if it was on the eye not the eyelid, it could get infected or something.

take it to the vet. The vet can look at the eye and see how bad the damage is, and prescribe proper treatment from there. You dont want to fool around with eye injuries, if they arent taken care of properly, it can lead to permanant damage.

I would go to the vet. They can give it eye drops to help it heal faster. Good luck!

1. Punish your cat for being mean
2. punish your dog for getting beat up by a cat.
3. take your dog to the vet and get it checked out so he doesnt go blind.
