You have to apply with the building management. I have worked at the Empire State Building (on the 64th Floor) and I'll tell you it's a pretty crappy building. If it weren't for the view and how tall it is, the building wouldn't even be looked at. The ventilation system is archaic and the height of the building really does weigh down your body. If it's for you, contact the building management firm and send them your application.

For restaurants: Go to Jekyll and Hyde and Mars 2112. If you want a good view of Times Square when you eat then ask for a window seat at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Times Square. Don't go to the Central Park Zoo, it's terrible. It's so small. The Bronx Zoo is great, you'll have a lot of fun. Just don't go when it's raining and realize that it is a good hour long ride from the city to go there. As for the Empire State Building, go at night, it's beautiful. Madam Tassaud's Wax Museum is very small, it was very dissapointed by it. I would recommend going to Ripley's Believe it or not which is right next door. The Museum of Natural History is huge so be prepared to not finish it all in one trip.

When you go to building, ask one of the guards at the desk where you go to apply for a job.
